Fans of The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, rejoice! A new dark fantasy RPG called Dawnwalker is in the works from a studio called Rebel Wolves, founded by former CD Projekt Red developers.
The game is still in the early stages of development, but the developers have released a piece of concept art that gives us a glimpse of the world of Dawnwalker. It looks like a dark and atmospheric game, with towering mountains, sprawling forests, and mysterious creatures.
The developers describe Dawnwalker as a “story-driven dark fantasy role-playing adventure.” They haven’t shared any details about the story yet, but they say it will be full of choices and consequences.
“We want to craft a world that you will want to explore and dive deep into and tell stories that make you care about the characters,” CD Projekt alumni Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz said in a press release. “We aim to deliver an experience that will allow for a variety of choices and room for experimentation when replayed. Helping craft this experience with so many talented people will be my mission at Rebel Wolves, and I can’t wait for everyone to see what the team has been up to for quite a while now.”
Tomaszkiewicz is the game’s creative director, who has worked on some of CD Projekt Red’s biggest games, including The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077. He’s joined by a team of experienced developers who have worked on games like The Division 2, God of War, and Horizon Zero Dawn.
Rebel Wolves hasn’t shared any more information about Dawnwalker yet, but they plan to do so later this year. We can’t wait to learn more about this exciting new RPG!
