Brash presentation and a kaleidoscope of ideas make WarioWare: Get It Together! a clever game, but overcomplicated characters and microgames replaces the fun with frustration.

WarioWare: Get it Together is a clever game: true to itself but incredibly fresh thanks to a simple yet ingenious intuition that revolutionises the axioms of the series without distorting it. It won’t last long for lone players aiming solely for the end credits, but those with friends to challenge or collaborate with will find it a great party game.
WarioWare: Get It Together! is a brilliant return to the micro game formula. The directly use of characters inside the game changes in a pretty good way how do you approach each challenge that the games throws.
WarioWare: Get It Together! is exactly what fans of the series will be expecting.

Areajugones | David Cruz | 8.5 / 10 | 09-08-2021 | Fun, challenging and varied. This is how I would define WarioWare: Get It Together!, Nintendo's new thing for the hybrid console. I admit that it can disenchant those players looking for depth, because WarioWare gets to the point, but this kind of Free Guy in video game I loved. | Read review |
Ars Technica | Sam Machkovech | Not Recommended | 09-08-2021 | A certain party-playing crowd will overcome the awkward bits and have a blast. Most won't. Rent, don't buy. | Read review |

Attack of the Fanboy | Elliott Gatica | 4 / 5 stars | 09-16-2021 | WarioWare: Get it Together! is a very fun game from the moment you pick it up. It has a generous selection of over 200 micro games to sink your time into. Pair that with the various playstyles of the characters, and you have yourself a lot more than just a one and done game. | Read review |
Cerealkillerz | Julian Bieder | 8.3 / 10 | 09-12-2021 | WarioWare: Get It Together! lives from its weird and often amusing micro games. So for a short amount of time the game feels like a collection of amazing ideas with new surprises every time around the corner but the effect wears off after the second and third time playing the same game. The different playable characters offer some fresh takes on some gameplay elements but there could have been a lot more new features after 18 years of waiting. | Read review |
CGMagazine | Joe Findlay | 7 / 10 | 10-01-2021 | WarioWare: Get It Together! is a fast-paced game whose latest changes have created a ton of replay value. Challenge your brain, put your reaction time to the test and get some friends together for some classic fun with this legendary Nintendo character. | Read review |
Checkpoint Gaming | Edie W-K | 7 / 10 | 09-15-2021 | WarioWare: Get it Together! has some of the best microgames in the series, all of which carry on the zany heart of the WarioWare franchise. The multiplayer modes and weekly challenges add a lot of replayability, making it great for killing a few minutes with friends. But when it comes to adding its own twist to the series, Get it Together‘s constant switching out of characters just doesn’t mesh well with the WarioWare formula that we know and love. That, along with the disappointing lack of much of the comedic dialogue we’ve seen from previous games, hold it back from being Wario’s best. But it still promises a fun time whenever you have a few minutes to spare. | Read review |
COGconnected | Jaz Sagoo | 80 / 100 | 09-12-2021 | WarioWare: Get It Together! is a fantastic game that is nothing like anything currently on the Switch. Due to this, the game is an essential title for anyone who enjoys local multiplayer madness. Bubbling with content, you will have plenty to do even after completing the relatively short campaign. With a range of modes, there are tons of options to accommodate up to 4-players in cooperative or competitive mayhem. Although lacking online multiplayer, this is a rock-solid title that manages to be accessible, frustrating, and fun at the same time. | Read review |
Cubed3 | Jennifer Geist | 8 / 10 | 09-21-2021 | It's rare for a long-running series to disappear for a decade, come back with some fairly dramatic changes, and still come away on top. Any one of these factors would be a death-knell for a worser series, so the fact that this title can balance all of them at once is truly impressive. WarioWare: Get it Together may not seem ambitious at a glance, but at a closer look, the scope is genuinely admirable. Somehow, Intelligent Systems was able to create 200+ microgames that could each be played by 19 characters, without any of these elements feeling bloated or ancillary. Time will tell if this installment remains as beloved as its cult-classic counterparts, but even after one whole week, Cubed3 is not ready to put the game down just yet. Especially when there's still some high scores that need beating! | Read review |
Daily Mirror | James Ide | 4 / 5 stars | 09-08-2021 | This isn't a deep game but it's a great deal of fun and is a charming experience. The WarioWare series is easily one of the most original gaming concepts ever and Get It Together! is a welcome addition to the Nintendo Switch. The addition of co-op and new characters with unique controls really help to breathe new life into the endlessly creative WarioWare Series. | Read review |
Daily Star | Tom Hutchison | 4 / 5 stars | 09-08-2021 | But Nintendo has done another good job here giving players a unique new game that the Switch hasn’t seen before. | Read review |
DASHGAMER.com | Bryce Dewit | 8.5 / 10 | 09-13-2021 | Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s here. That’s right, it’s finally arrived. The age old question has finally been answered and what has been delivered to us is a dish best served garnished with garlic. WarioWare: Get it Together! Is finally upon us. I’ve been waiting so long for a Switch WarioWare title that it started to feel like it would never come. | Read review |
Destructoid | Chris Carter | 7.5 / 10 | 09-08-2021 | I’m grateful that another Wario game even exists, and WarioWare: Get It Together! is going to be a hit for a lot of people who are already dedicated to this special brand of weird. But for some, the homogenization of a few aspects might not last them more than a week, so make sure you bring people into the fold if you want to jump in at full asking price. | Read review |
Digital Spy | Jess Lee | 4 / 5 stars | 09-20-2021 | WarioWare makes a welcome return, providing the familiar fast-paced microgames action that fans will be accustomed to. Filled with quirky charm, this Switch entry doesn't disappoint. The new character gimmick, however, does get in the way slightly despite adding a neat twist to some of the microgames. | Read review |
Digital Trends | Giovanni Colantonio | 3 / 5 stars | 09-13-2021 | WarioWare: Get It Together's character-swapping gimmick adds unnecessary confusion to a perfectly enjoyable microgame collection. | Read review |

Everyeye.it | Marco Mottura | 7.5 / 10 | 09-08-2021 | WarioWare: Get It Together! it is a triumph of the absurd, a brilliant example of game design as well as yet another, tasty demonstration of how much Nintendo knows how to be scapestrata, irrentent and even dirty. The idea of characters with somewhat different abilities is a non-trivial solution, which gives character to this episode of the series, while not everyone will appreciate the decisive turn towards a decidedly more cooperative and less competitive fruition. | Read review |
Expansive | Sally Willington | Recommended | 10-04-2021 | Get It Together is experimental in many ways, like the series is taking a turn and it needs more time to fit the mould. It’s still incredibly good fun and there’s more reasons than ever to keep dipping in and playing, but the selection of mini-games on offer isn’t the best around and the team selection/character changing feels a little bit jarring and can make things overly confusing. | Read review |
Game Informer | Ben Reeves | 7.8 / 10 | 09-08-2021 | As always, WarioWare's randomness is charming, and the minigames are fun, but this is far from a high watermark for the series | Read review |
Gameblog | Yann Bernard | 7 / 10 | 09-08-2021 | Despite a certain lack of inspiration, the WarioWare company keeps having some ambition, potentially less lucrative than its greedy owner's. Thus Get It Together! favors efficiency over quantity with microgames by focusing on gameplay, customized for each | Read review |
GameMAG | Unknown | 7 / 10 | 09-15-2021 | WarioWare: Get it Together! gracefully continues the series tradition by mixing brash presentation with great arcade collidoscope of ideas that feels extremely fun both at loud parties or all alone by yourself. | Read review |
GamePro | Hannes Rossow | 75 / 100 | 09-08-2021 | WarioWare: Get it together! provides entertaining fun with countless micro-games, but in the long run they run out of air. | Read review |
GamesBeat | Jeff Grubb | 80 / 100 | 09-20-2021 | This is a game I expect to go back to regularly throughout the life of the Switch. But when I do, it probably won’t be for the multiplayer. Those modes are fine, but cooperative play adds a bit too much stress. But as a classic WarioWare, Get It Together shines. | Read review |
GameSkinny | Ashley Shankle | 9 / 10 | 09-15-2021 | WarioWare: Get It Together is probably one of the best and most frantic multiplayer games on the Nintendo Switch. | Read review |

GamingTrend | Richard Allen | 80 / 100 | 09-20-2021 | WarioWare: Get It Together, despite its rather short campaign, features over 200 incredibly funny, absurd, and downright creative microgames for players to complete. You'll find yourself laughing your way through the experience, fighting with your friends over who failed a game, and savoring your triumphs over the late game's harder challenges. The addition of the Emporium, Break Room, Missions, Play-O-Pedia, and Wario Cup are nice and will keep the game fresh for many players well after they complete the story, but a few players may not enjoy the grind to unlock all the Prezzies available. As it stands, WarioWare: Get It Together is a great, though short-lived, game – perfect for a night in with a friend. | Read review |
God is a Geek | Adam Cook | 8.5 / 10 | 09-08-2021 | With references that will make long-time Nintendo fans squeal, WarioWare: Get it Together has deeper gameplay and more longevity than you'd expect. You'll love it or hate it, however, depending on whether you like the changes or not. | Read review |
GotGame | Daniel Ladiano | 7.5 / 10 | 09-16-2021 | WarioWare: Get It Together! gets a lot of points for reinvigorating the classic formula. Controlling characters in microgames adds a new layer to the gameplay without making the simple goals too convoluted. Unfortunately, the uneven characters and obtuse controls can result in some frustration. The multiplayer offerings are fun when the main games are the focus, but the variety pack doesn’t add much interest despite its namesake. Still, with all the warts, this is still WarioWare, and it’s still as hilarious and fun as it’s always been. Even if it couldn’t get all of its ideas together, it’s still better than having a rotten time. | Read review |
GRYOnline.pl | Mikołaj Łaszkiewicz | 8 / 10 | 09-08-2021 | WarioWare: Get It Together! will give you tons of fun in short bursts. What’s more, it looks great during 4-player sessions. If you have only a minute or two to turn a boring party into a cool one – the new WarioWare is your best bet! | Read review |

Hey Poor Player | Andrew Thornton | 4 / 5 stars | 09-18-2021 | WarioWare: Get It Together! isn’t the best game in the series, but the latest from Wario’s video game company is still a delight. With tons of variety, this is the sort of game I can see myself popping into for a quick session regularly for years to come. If you have friends to play with, this is an easy recommendation. Even without those, there’s plenty of variety to keep players coming back until Wario’s next creation is ready to go. | Read review |
Hobby Consolas | Alberto Lloret | 80 / 100 | 09-08-2021 | Wario Ware debuts on Nintendo Switch with a conservative new entry, that let us controls directly at all the characters (each one is very different) and put all the meat on the multiplayer, even in the story mode. Anyway, it feels less fresher, and it doesn't take advantage of all Switch has to offer (only minigames with physical controls here). | Read review |
IGN | Tom Marks | 7 / 10 | 09-08-2021 | WarioWare: Get It Together!'s multiplayer modes are a bit of a letdown, but chasing high scores is still a lot of wacky fun. | Read review |

Nintendo Enthusiast | Dominick Ashtear | 9 / 10 | 09-17-2021 | WarioWare: Get It Together doesn't reinvent the wheel, but it keeps the bizarre charm of the series going with a whole new layer of gameplay. I adored how well the developers were able to keep everything feeling fresh after almost 20 years of this series. It's funny, it's challenging, it's addicting, and it reeks of Wario. This is a real gift to all the microgame fans out there. | Read review |
Nintendo Life | PJ O'Reilly | 9 / 10 | 09-08-2021 | WarioWare: Get It Together! is a triumphant Switch debut for the subversive series that makes some daring changes to core gameplay, resulting in the best entry in the franchise to date. With a generous roster of playable characters, lots of solo and multiplayer modes to dig into, and stages that cleverly adapt to your choices on the fly, this is a superb compilation of hilarious microgames that delivers more ways to play than ever before. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll dodge bird droppings on a skateboard. So grab a few friends or family members, break out the controllers, and gather round the TV | Read review |
Nintendo Wire | Ricky Berg | 8 / 10 | 09-20-2021 | For my money, WarioWare: Get It Together! works as a continuation of the series but doesn’t push it forward in a truly meaningful way. Some of the faults of the previous release are still present, leading me to think they might be here to stay with the current direction. Still, after years of experimentation and a fresher style since Gold, it’s nice to see the team’s still got it where it counts – the microgames, and the weird wonderfulness that Wario and his team can bring. | Read review |
NintendoWorldReport | Jordan Rudek | 5.5 / 10 | 09-21-2021 | For those who are able to find another player or three, Get It Together! offers some decent value, but so much of the side content just isn't compelling enough to justify a purchase, and it's hard not to see the Switch's WarioWare game as another Game & Wario, where the schtick is all there is. At the end of the day, Get It Together! hasn't even heeded its own admonition. Ironically, the absence of any meaningful online experience means that most will be left to "get it together" on their own. | Read review |
Oyungezer Online | Ali Sezgin | 5.5 / 10 | 10-09-2021 | Warioware: Get It Together has managed to be the weakest link in the series due to innovations that do not work as intended, although it tries to be innovative. | Read review |
PCMag | Jordan Minor | 4 / 5 stars | 09-08-2021 | With a fresh focus on unique characters and multiplayer mayhem, WarioWare: Get It Together finds room for even more creativity in an already one-of-a-kind series. | Read review |
Polygon | Ryan Gilliam | Not Recommended | 09-08-2021 | All of WarioWare: Get It Together!'s characters can compete in every single one of its microgames. And while some characters have clear strengths and weaknesses, it's impressive to see how co-developers Nintendo and Intelligent Systems made tweaks to each microgame to ensure that characters like 9-Volt or 18-Volt can still stand a chance against their more mobile co-workers. | Read review |
Rapid Reviews UK | Chloe Osborn | 4 / 5 stars | 09-20-2021 | For those of you who have played a WarioWare title in the past, you will know just how bizarre and whacky, yet fun, they can be. Smooth Moves for the Wii was a well loved game in my household, which took full advantage of the shiny new motion controls. The weirdness of the high speed micro games though leave some a little freaked out however, but you can at least guarantee it’s a unique experience. | Read review |
Saudi Gamer | Unknown | 7 / 10 | 09-24-2021 | This is still one of Nintendo's zanier and imaginative series, but the quest to stir things up has resulted in the series losing some of its simplicity and appeal. | Read review |
Screen Rant | Alex Santa Maria | 4 / 5 stars | 09-16-2021 | Thankfully, there is enough in WarioWare: Get It Together to keep fans plugging away at high scores and microgame mastery. The character movement can make some of the games far too simplistic when compared to the timing-based gameplay of past series entries and in the similar Rhythm Heaven series. However, the trade-off in pure variety makes for microgames that keep players on their toes for far longer, and anything that keeps the WarioWare train going is a good thing. Even after excising the baffling online mode, this is the same great WarioWare experience on a platform that lets players bring it to the couch and share Wario's distinctive brand of gaming with friends and family. | Read review |

Shacknews | Ozzie Mejia | 7 / 10 | 09-14-2021 | Still, as a multiplayer romp, WarioWare: Get It Together is a great game to bust out and if you're pressed on time, that's even better! Just don't expect this to be your go-to game for nights in with your buddies. | Read review |
Slant Magazine | Aaron Riccio | 4 / 5 stars | 09-30-2021 | The randomness of WarioWare: Get It Together! is a clear demonstration of the old adage that when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. You never know what game or character you’ll see next, only that whether you’re temporarily playing as a hover-cab driver who can only shoot to the left or an overgrown kid who can only move by grappling between objects, you can make it something sweet, either in against-the-odds triumph or comic failure. Managing such chaos has always been a core tenet of the WarioWare experience, and in doubling down on the randomness of its microgames, the series has at last gotten its shtick together. | Read review |

The Outerhaven Productions | Tyler Kelbaugh | 3.5 / 5 stars | 09-30-2021 | WarioWare: Get it Together is a strong addition to the series. Its character-based gameplay adds a unique spin to moment-to-moment gameplay, even if most players will only use about half the roster. An irreverent and crude sense of humor elevates the experience and makes you wonder if Nintendo’s other franchises wouldn’t be better served by becoming a bit more messy. | Read review |
TheSixthAxis | Stefan L | 8 / 10 | 09-08-2021 | WarioWare: Get It Together! gets back to basics. It throws out the controller gimmicks of old, but brings in the added layer of quirky character abilities that brilliantly manage to work with every single one of the moreish microgame mayhem that this series is so well known for. Oh, and it makes for a great party game too! | Read review |
Thumbsticks | Daniel New | 4 / 5 stars | 09-17-2021 | WarioWare: Get It Together! isn’t the overhaul the series probably needs, but it’s another propulsive and compulsive blast of fun. The multiplayer modes are modest but well implemented, and the variety added by each character’s abilities adds longevity. | Read review |
TrustedReviews | Thomas Deehan | 4 / 5 stars | 09-08-2021 | Nearly two decades after its first entry, the WarioWare series still knows how to keep things feeling fresh, and the series’ chaotic bombardment of microgames is as addictive as ever. While the experience might not be as rich as say The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild or Super Mario Odyssey, Get it Together! is still tons of fun to play. | Read review |
Twinfinite | Rebecca Stone | 3.5 / 5 stars | 09-08-2021 | For those new to the series, keep in mind that these games aren’t about the number of levels or length of time it takes to complete the story. There is fun in replaying each of the levels to get the highest score possible and unlock all of the microgames. For returning fans, well, you basically know what to expect. It’s just more of the WarioWare we love. | Read review |

Video Chums | A.J. Maciejewski | 8.3 / 10 | 09-13-2021 | WarioWare: Get It Together is as random and frantic as you would expect a character-driven entry in the long-running series to be. However, you may not expect just how fun it is to play with a friend and that's where its gameplay shines brightest. | Read review |
Washington Post | Alyse Stanley | Recommended | 09-08-2021 | It leans into its own ridiculousness to deliver a multiplayer experience that feels unique to the series and a single-player experience that has plenty of fun reasons to return even after you beat Story Mode. | Read review |
WayTooManyGames | Leonardo Faria | 4.5 / 10 | 09-13-2021 | I don’t remember the last time I have played a game published by a major corporation that felt so soulless like WarioWare: Get It Together. Yes, even by some of the usual suspects. What was once Nintendo’s go-to franchise for zaniness, creativity, and actually taking advantage of every single feature included in a console’s hardware has been reduced to what mostly resembles a lazy and rushed job just to ensure the publisher had something to sell during a particular month. | Read review |
Wccftech | Ule Lopez | 7.3 / 10 | 09-15-2021 | WarioWare: Get it Together! retains its easy to pick up and hard to master nature while adding a bit of a challenging element through its newly implemented characters. However, this can work against it as the layer of complexity may alienate fans who want to optimize their performance because of the way some characters are designed. | Read review |
