“SnowRunner is a game thoroughly, single-mindedly, in love with the open road. It just happens that it’s the kind of love that’s bred by getting that road so thoroughly under your nails, you occasionally have to wonder whether it’s actually hate. Care, attention and time will show that SnowRunner is a passion project worth putting the extra mile in for.”
Luke Reilly (IGN)

“SnowRunner’s peculiar brand of off-road ordeals is addictive, deep, and rewarding when played in the right spirit.”
Jeremy Peel (Rock, Paper, Shotgun)

“I hope the flickering headlights of a glowing review are enough to help players find SnowRunner through the fog.”

3DNews | Михаил Пономарев | 8 / 10 | 05-02-2020 | Despite some insignificant and purely subjective flaws, SnowRunner offers the best offroad simulation experience yet. | Read review |

Bazimag | Bahram Bigharaz | 8.5 / 10 | 05-01-2020 | Although it is going to be though on newcomers, the amount of improvements have made this a great title among driving simulation games and SnowRunner is definitely the best of Spintires franchise to date. | Read review |
Chicas Gamers | Adrián de Francisco | Recommended | 04-28-2020 | With Snowrunners we see a title that gives what it promises, a transporter simulator with a great mapping, realistic physics and a wide variety of environments and vehicles we have for hours of content where the goal is not to arrive as soon as possible to complete our tasks, If not take a leap of joy to get to that path that we saw impossible or cross the swamp thanks to the fact that we have acquired a better vehicle. We also have a cooperative multiplayer section with up to 4 players, and that gives one more incentive to take a few hours to the title, since you can do joint missions with your friends. | Read review |
COGconnected | Clayton Cyre | 74 / 100 | 05-06-2020 | I enjoyed many aspects of SnowRunner and see the improvements that Saber Interactive has made with the new entry into the series. After tackling mud and snow, it’ll be interesting to see where the next title treads. | Read review |
DarkZero | Dominic Sheard | 8 / 10 | 06-11-2020 | SnowRunner offers a rather unique experience when it comes to vehicle-based video games. | Read review |
FingerGuns | Greg Hicks | 9 / 10 | 04-27-2020 | Once you get your head around the time and patience aspect, Snowrunner is going to engross you. It won’t win any Game of the Year awards for being niche, but then neither does Train Simulator. If you can convince some friends to join you, then even better. But even as a solo experience, there’s some absolute joy to be had when you get stuck into it. | Read review |

Gamefa | Mohammad Aria Moghaddam | 8 / 10 | 05-03-2020 | SnowRunner is worth to be considered as one of the best driving simulation games. The game can be a little slow-paced or too challenging sometimes, but totally, it's a really good game. Saber Interactive newest game is not for everyone, but it's an enjoyable experience for fans who want to try some new challenges. | Read review |
GameMAG | Unknown | 8 / 10 | 05-08-2020 | SnowRunner is an exemplary sequel in which the variety of content has increased several times compared to the previous game. | Read review |
GamePitt | Rob Pitt | 9 / 10 | 04-27-2020 | Whether you tackle the harsh weather conditions with friends, or you brave it alone, SnowRunner will challenge your determination, patience, and strategic thinking. Fans of the climbing and slow-paced movement aspect of Death Stranding will most likely find pleasure in the purposefully clunky, realistic, and heavy controls and mechanics within this game as well. Although the one key aspect of the game is to go from A to B (via very stressful pathways), it’s a very therapeutic and relaxing game in which you become both mentally and physically more adept the longer you play. This isn’t your standard no-physics simulation game, this is about as realistic as you can get without having your living room covered in mud, water, and snow. | Read review |

GamingTrend | Devo Deaves | 80 / 100 | 04-27-2020 | Basically, if Forza Horizon 4 and American Truck Simulator got drunk and hooked up one night then SnowRunner is what I imagine the result would be. A slower paced game that challenges throughout and stays fresh with a good range of vehicles, upgrades and locations to explore and a great deal of customization. | Read review |
God is a Geek | Gary Bailey | 8 / 10 | 04-27-2020 | SnowRunner has its issues, but its unique brand of truck simulation and off-road adventuring is enough to keep you entertained for hours on end. | Read review |
GuiltyBit | David Pérez | 7.4 / 10 | 04-28-2020 | We are facing a somewhat continuous title, but with enough news to satisfy the fans. New types of missions, a three-fold extension, the inclusion of snow, vehicles and the customization of them, are more than enough content for this sequel. Of course, it will test our nerves. | Read review |
Hardcore Gamer | James Cunningham | 4 / 5 stars | 04-27-2020 | While SnowRunner has a few quirks here and there, overall it's a fantastic game of exploration and brute-force driving. | Read review |
Hobby Consolas | David Martinez | 78 / 100 | 04-28-2020 | Snowrunner is not for everybody, even if you are a fan of driving games. But if you are attracted to off road realistic driving it is engaging, and full of strategic elements. | Read review |
IGN | Luke Reilly | 8 / 10 | 04-29-2020 | SnowRunner's peculiar brand of off-road ordeals is addictive, deep, and rewarding when played in the right spirit. | Read review |
IGN Italy | Unknown | 8.2 / 10 | 04-29-2020 | SnowRunner is a brilliant off-road truck simulator with a keen eye to entertainment and fun. Deep but accessible, frustrating but rewarding, it's a compelling experience where impossible adventures become possible. | Read review |
IGN Middle East | Zaher Albalbisi | 8 / 10 | 05-04-2020 | SnowRunner focuses on certain group of players and dedicates all of its content towards that hardcore fun track driving simulation, but still it does that very good with a great online co-op to raise its value. | Read review |
INDIANTVCZ | Michal Burian | 7 / 10 | 05-18-2020 | SnowRunner is a perfect off-road simulation. It is a complex game with tons of content and great challenge. You can spend dozens of hours playing it. There've been some improvements since MudRunner. The technical part, however, lowers the final verdict by two points with lots of mistakes that have negative impact on the gameplay and with worse graphics. That's why our recommendation stopped at 7/10. Otherwise, it would be a 9/10, because in its genre, SnowRunner is unrivalled. | Read review |
Jump Dash Roll | Derek Johnson | 6 / 10 | 05-13-2020 | SnowRunner's core gameplay is unique and satisfying, but there are too many simple design flaws to make the game anything more than Death Stranding without the intrigue. | Read review |
Operation Sports | Robert Kollars | Recommended | 04-29-2020 | It is also worth noting that there's even more content on the way with the SnowRunner Season Pass, which is included in SnowRunner — Premium Edition. The content will be delivered in four phases, each with its own unique theme and region. The Season Pass will include brand-new vehicles, maps and activities throughout 2020 and beyond. The first Season Pass content drop is expected in the coming weeks, so get ready to brave the tundra and hunt down the wreckage of a lost World War II bomber. | Read review |
PC Gamer | Andy Kelly | 83 / 100 | 04-27-2020 | This deep off-road sim delights in giving you a hard time, but every victory is all the sweeter for it. | Read review |
PC Invasion | Unknown | 8 / 10 | 04-27-2020 | SnowRunner is an excellent game with wonderful visuals and great controls. It also has a massive amount of content for players to sink their teeth into. The game is slow and can be frustrating, but it's very much worth getting down and dirty with this one. | Read review |
PCGamesN | Ben Maxwell | 9 / 10 | 04-27-2020 | A beautiful-looking simulation with very specific appeal that will likely turn off as many people as it interests. If you're in the latter group, however, this is an indispensable physics toybox. | Read review |
Player2.net.au | Christopher Button | Recommended | 05-12-2020 | SnowRunner is a compelling combination of truck simulation gameplay within the structure of a western triple-A open-world game. It’s an odd mix, but it works, in spite of some minor annoyances. | Read review |
PlayStation Universe | John-Paul Jones | 8.5 / 10 | 04-27-2020 | Simultaneously a big leap over the MudRunner titles and a compelling effort in its own right, SnowRunner's improved focus on the hard fought conflict between man, machine and nature results in a highly rewarding and satisfying driving simulator that is quite unlike anything else. | Read review |
Push Square | Sammy Barker | 7 / 10 | 04-27-2020 | SnowRunner's glacial pace won't appeal to everyone, but this unique haulage simulation manages to transform everyday terrain into an enemy you need to tame. This is a game that's less about the destination and all about the journey you take; in that sense it's unmatched, and wildly rewarding in a way that few other open worlders are. | Read review |
Rapid Reviews UK | Jonathan Ober | 5 / 5 stars | 05-03-2020 | I would say that I am a simulation game aficionado of sorts, having played MudRunners before, as well as other games in the genre like Farming Simulator, Construction Simulator and EuroTruck Simulator. For some, the driving simulation style of games just never clicks. For others though, the gameplay is relaxing and enjoyable, despite frequently finding myself careening down a hill or tumbling over an embankment. | Read review |
Rock, Paper, Shotgun | Jeremy Peel | Recommended | 04-27-2020 | I hope the flickering headlights of a glowing review are enough to help players find SnowRunner through the fog. | Read review |
SECTOR.sk | Peter Dragula | 8.5 / 10 | 04-28-2020 | Very good successor of Spintires and Mudrunner with new challenges. | Read review |
SelectButton | Kevin Mitchell | 8 / 10 | 05-13-2020 | SnowRunner's realistic depiction of driving through thick mud and dense snow across a vast sandbox is quite admirable. It is, without a doubt, a far better game than its predecessor, complete with a ton more content, and future planned DLC. The three main regions feel distinct, and while beautiful, there are plenty of frustrating moments ahead. Now, if you excuse me, I have a big rig stuck halfway up a mountain in a couple of feet of sludge. | Read review |
Shacknews | Chris Jarrard | 9 / 10 | 05-05-2020 | Simultaneously relaxing, infuriating, perplexing, and rewarding, SnowRunner is on my shortlist for game of the year. | Read review |
SomHráč.sk | René Blanárik | 90 / 100 | 04-28-2020 | SnowRunner moved the bar a couple steps higher in every way. The beautiful realistic graphics offer plenty of amazingly detailed winter environments. If you're patient enough and a fan of offroad driving simulators, you'd better not miss it. | Read review |
SpazioGames | Paolo Sirio | 7.8 / 10 | 04-28-2020 | Snowrunner is an experience worth living, whether you're a fan of the genre or played it for the first time with Death Stranding without even knowing it was just that | Read review |
TechRaptor | Joe Apsey | 7.5 / 10 | 04-27-2020 | Whilst the opening hours suffer from a lack of communication, SnowRunner is an excellent and rewarding vehicle simulation. | Read review |
The Games Machine | Stefano Calzati | 8.3 / 10 | 04-28-2020 | SnowRunner is a dirty game with spotless physics. A truck-sized open world, tiring, slow yet extremely adrenaline-fueled work simulation. Maybe sometimes too tiring, but capable of giving enormous satisfaction. | Read review |
TheSixthAxis | Dominic Leighton | 9 / 10 | 04-27-2020 | SnowRunner is a game thoroughly, single-mindedly, in love with the open road. It just happens that it's the kind of love that's bred by getting that road so thoroughly under your nails, you occasionally have to wonder whether it's actually hate. Care, attention and time will show that SnowRunner is a passion project worth putting the extra mile in for. | Read review |
Unboxholics | Χρήστος Παπέλης | Recommended | 05-19-2020 | SnowRunner is definitely a unique case. If you find its concept appealing, give this game a chance, as it may be an unusual yet really fun and relaxing way to pass your time. | Read review |
WayTooManyGames | Leonardo Faria | 7 / 10 | 04-27-2020 | Snowrunner might only be thoroughly enjoyed by a small niche audience, but they will have the time of their life with it. It is bigger, prettier, and a bit more fun than its predecessor, even if the camera controls are exponentially more annoying to deal with this time around. | Read review |
We Got This Covered | David Morgan | 4 / 5 stars | 05-09-2020 | SnowRunner is the stay-inside game we need right now. Slow, rewarding, and providing just enough resistance to keep the player sharp, it's a singularly zen experience that's made for a particular kind of person -- even those who avoid more genre-standard titles. | Read review |
