Significant disparities exist between the PC and console versions, and you should avoid playing this title on Xbox One or PS4. But if you plan on playing on PC/Stadia/or next-gen consoles, Cyberpunk 2077 is worthy of your attention - the game has depth and soul, offering a world of intrigue and a staggering amount of flexibility in a phenomenal open-world.

Cyberpunk 2077 throws you into a beautiful, dense cityscape and offers a staggering amount of flexibility in how you choose to take it from there.
What Cyberpunk 2077 lacks in core campaign length, it makes up for with depth and soul, offering a world of intrigue and violence unlike any other.
A lot of the game is just there to look good. And that’s fine — but it means I don’t want to spend a lot of time wandering around the world. If the environment primarily exists to look dope in the background while I’m doing the quests, then I’ll probably mostly stick to the main story, see what happens, and then bounce. It’s fine to make a game like that — for many, that’s the promise of Cyberpunk 2077. It just wasn’t the promise to me.

Areajugones | Víctor Rodríguez | 9.5 / 10 | 12-07-2020 | Cyberpunk 2077 is the ultimate power fantasy. A video game that takes the best of modern RPG, first-person shooter, stealth, and the open world and masterfully blends it into a single product. If Skyrim and GTA V marked a before and after for their genres at the beginning of the 2010s, Cyberpunk 2077 is called upon to do the same from this 2020. | Read review |

Attack of the Fanboy | William Schwartz | 3.5 / 5 stars | 12-15-2020 | Cyberpunk 2077 will ultimately be optimized for every platform and the major bugs will likely be squashed, but it’s real problems will remain. A lack of gameplay and systems that matter leave the game feeling uninspired, even if some of the conversations and characters in this world are the best we’ve seen in quite some time. | Read review |
AusGamers | KostaAndreadis | 8 / 10 | 12-22-2020 | After 60-hours of walking the streets, driving through the Badlands, and diving through the wreckage of a now underwater part of Pacifica, that sense of awe, scale, and detail never really went away. That said there were more than a few momentary stutters, Relic Malfunctions, whenever a character did something glitchy or the AI behaved in such a way as to remove all pretense of that title. Artificial? Yes. Intelligent? Nope. | Read review |
BaziCenter | Farnood Samie Yousefi | 6 / 10 | 12-19-2020 | It is indeed very sad to see a game with such a huge potential go down like this, mainly due to bad decision making. Cyberpunk 2077 is a marvelous Action RPG, but is not playable on the current generation consoles as countless bugs and glitches kill the game from the beginning. CD Project Red is a very talented studio and all we can hope is that they learn and recover from their mistakes, and go back to making great games. | Read review |
But Why Tho? | Quinn Hiers | 7 / 10 | 12-12-2020 | Cyberpunk 2077 offers players an interesting world to explore, great storytelling, and loveable and deep characters. But the main story is light on cyberpunk themes, and the bugs and bad graphics really hinder the playability. Once the technical bugs are hammered out, Cyberpunk 2077 will be a game I would recommend. | Read review |
Cerealkillerz | Manuel Barthes | 8.5 / 10 | 12-15-2020 | Cyberpunk 2077 is without question a very good game that at the end of the day only fails at one point: It cannot live up to its hype. This fact is particularly reflected in the technical condition, where game errors have a different impact from system to system. Even a gripping plot does not comfort the fact that the trip to Night City is more appearance than reality. | Read review |
CGMagazine | Cole Watson | 7.5 / 10 | 12-17-2020 | Night City still shines with a wide cast of memorable characters and beautifully executed atmosphere that demonstrates just how good CD Projekt Red is at story telling, it’s just a shame so much of the overall experience of Cyberpunk 2077 is all held together by pieces of scotch tape. | Read review |
Checkpoint Gaming | Elliot Attard | 8 / 10 | 12-16-2021 | Cyberpunk 2077 is an exciting game. It’s very easy to put a huge and ambitious title like this under a microscope and point out all the ways it could be better. But at the end of the day, I enjoyed my time with the game and found some parts that I really did love. I can’t help but feel that if Cyberpunk 2077 was a more focussed game that didn’t try to do so much it could have been a better experience that was more achievable for the developers. Although in its current state there’s no denying that some elements work better than others. Ultimately though there’s no regrets in checking out Night City. If you have a powerful PC that can run the game comfortably then I have no problems recommending this daunting yet engaging experience. | Read review |
COGconnected | Paul Sullivan | 40 / 100 | 12-19-2020 | So is this a good game? Yes, sometimes, but only if they manage to sufficiently patch it. | Read review |
Critical Hit | Brad Lang | 7.5 / 10 | 12-14-2020 | Cyberpunk 2077 tells a compelling story with an excellent assortment of characters but fails to deliver on the promises of a living, breathing open-world. All of these faults are amplified by a messy user interface, unengaging combat, and shoddy performance across multiple platforms. | Read review |
Cultured Vultures | Ryan Stevens | 6 / 10 | 12-16-2020 | A lack of focus, vague combat, and some truly befuddling performance issues hamper the still competent, and often enjoyable, detective sim that the best parts of Cyberpunk 2077 want to be. | Read review |
Daily Mirror | James Ide | 5 / 5 stars | 12-11-2020 | The game may not be perfect but given CD project Red’s reputation for fixing and updating games Cyberpunk has a bright neon-lit future. It can proudly sit among its influences of Ghost in the Shell, Blade Runner and Neuromancer (as well as games like Deus Ex, System Shock) with its augmented head held high. | Read review |
Daily Star | Tom Hutchison | 4 / 5 stars | 12-14-2020 | If you’re willing to loose yourself in Cyberpunk for the long term you’ll definitely get your money’s worth out of a strong role-player that’s flowing with action missions. | Read review |
DASHGAMER.com | Dan Rizzo | 7 / 10 | 01-01-2021 | I anticipate CDPR’s PlayStation 5 version of the game will be an outstanding upgrade to this problematic release, and await with complete impatience and hope that my second trip through Night City will erase my doubt in its potential. | Read review |
Destructoid | Chris Carter | 7.5 / 10 | 12-20-2020 | Cyberpunk 2077 is a victim of bloat, but you can choose to ignore a lot of it and take in the sights. That’s where Night City is at its best, and I sincerely suggest that you take your time going through it, as rushing will only lead to disappointment. Even just strolling through though, you’ll probably be left wanting more. | Read review |
Digital Chumps | Dillon Sweeney | 7 / 10 | 10-18-2017 | Cyberpunk 2077 is broken on last-generation consoles. That doesn’t mean you can’t see the finer details of the game, but you simply cannot enjoy them because of that brokenness. Where the game succeeds is in story, beautiful RPG elements, and a strong amount of customization that makes it feel like ‘your’ game and story. At the same time, Cyberpunk isn’t unique as the game feels like an amalgamation of Fallout and Bladerunner. | Read review |

Echo Boomer | David Fialho | Recommended | 12-30-2020 | Underneath its technical problems and even without a next-gen version on the new consoles, Cyberpunk 2077 shines on the new hardware and let us experience all our “cyberpunk” fantasies while it give us a gripping and surprisingly emotional story. | Read review |
EGM | Josh Harmon | 4 / 10 | 01-05-2021 | Cyberpunk 2077’s bugs and technical issues certainly hold it back, and with any luck those will be fixed in the coming months. But it’s more difficult to imagine CD Projekt Red doing enough to resolve the deeper problems: awkwardly balanced systems, storytelling misfires, and an inability to merge its open-world action and RPG gameplay into something smooth and cohesive. | Read review |

Everyeye.it | Alessandro Bruni | 9 / 10 | 12-07-2020 | And it is precisely for this reason that, despite all the technical problems of the production, we cannot in any way fail to assign a vote of excellence to the work of CDPR: the defects will disappear over time, but already now Cyberpunk 2077 is a title which undoubtedly deserves a place of honor in all players’ library. | Read review |
Fextralife | Castielle | 8.2 / 10 | 12-14-2020 | Cyberpunk 2077 is a joyride into dystopian corporatism that encourages you to run a mile on a mercenary’s boots and do as you please. Lack of meaningful choices and RPG elements limit gameplay thrills to its well-excuted gun and swordplay, but those wanting a well-acted and good looking adventure will find themselves right at home. | Read review |
Game Debate | Chad Norton | 9 / 10 | 01-09-2021 | There’s a lot of surface detail, that is clearly just set dressing, yet it still provides one of the most incredibly realized and mature worlds to date. The story and characters are wonderful and pull you into their needs and wants. If you don’t mind a number of immersion-breaking bugs or lack of polish, then Cyberpunk 2077 absolutely measures up to be one of the best games out there, but only if you’re willing to put the work in to find the good stuff. | Read review |

Game Revolution | Paul Tamburro | 3.5 / 5 stars | 12-22-2020 | When played on PC, Cyberpunk 2077 is still an impressive, engrossing, and fun RPG despite its flaws. However, assuming that CD Projekt Red sticks to its word and fixes its problems, it has all the potential to be a genuine classic of its genre. As such, it’s difficult to recommend playing it at its worst, when its best could be something special. | Read review |
Gameblog | Gianni Molinaro | 10 / 10 | 12-07-2020 | Cyberpunk 2077 is a new masterpiece from CD Projekt RED, a huge, dense, vibrant, colorfoul and dark Sci-Fi RPG that any fan of the genre should step in. First because it will provide the sensation that the story really depends on you choices and that you have everything you need for your playstyle. Then because streets, stores, buildings, inhabitants of Night City won’t get out of your head easily. You’ll be happy to interact with Keanu Reeves, but the real star is this city and all it provides in terms of atmosphere, game mechanics and stories. | Read review |
GameCrate | Angelo D’Argenio | 8 / 10 | 12-14-2020 | I want to recognize how ambitious and fun this game is while simultaneously warning people about how incomplete and sloppy it is. GameGrin | Blake Hawthorn | 6.5 / 10 | 01-04-2021 | Overall, Cyberpunk 2077 is a fun game that is plagued by bugs. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this game in its current state, but with patches this should improve. | Read review |

GameMAG | Александр Копанев | 9 / 10 | 12-07-2020 | It’s definitely feels like with Cyberpunk 2077 CD Projekt RED tried to tell a really meaningful story, while using as a backdrop truly a unique setting. And all the while the developers made sure that the game still feels approachable by all kind of people, and that it presents itself with insane graphical fidelity painting an image of an eerily realistic world of tommorow. We doubt there’s too many people who don’t believe in CD Projekt RED, but in case you’re one of them, be warned | Read review |

Gamers Heroes | Blaine Smith | 6 / 10 | 12-13-2020 | Cyberpunk 2077 is a great game, but it could have been an incredible game that defined a generation. Instead, it falls victim to its own ambition and the industry’s constant desire to push, push, push it out. In its current state, it’s not for the faint of heart, and even hardcore Cyberpunk fans may struggle to stay interested amidst all the crashes and issues. If you have yet to pick it up, wait a few months and you could very well be treated to the experience we were all hoping for at launch. | Read review |
Gamersky | 不倒翁蜀黍 | 9.1 / 10 | 12-08-2020 | Although there still exist a lot of technical glitches, Cyberpunk 2077 stands out in terms of cyberpunk concept, story-telling, characters, level-design, combat, and so forth. GameSpew | Richard Seagrave | 10 / 10 | 12-07-2020 | Cyberpunk 2077 isn’t perfect, but it is ambitious. GameZone | Cade Onder | 5 / 10 | 12-30-2020 | Cyberpunk 2077 isn’t just a disappointment because it misses the mark for CD Projekt Red. It’s a disappointment because it misses the mark as a video game from any developer. It lacks the fundamental basics of a good RPG. The best moments in its narrative are tucked away in side quests. Night City is a boring, lifeless illusion of something greater. Perhaps that’s a good analogy for Cyberpunk 2077 itself: A boring, lifeless illusion of something greater. | Read review |
Gaming Nexus | Sean Cahill | 8 / 10 | 01-05-2021 | While I’m not 100% in love with the game due to bugs and difficulty swings, Cyberpunk 2077 is still a solid pickup simply for its story and incredible world. Make sure your system is prepared for it and you’ll get a good experience. | Read review |
GamingBolt | Shubhankar Parijat | 9 / 10 | 12-15-2020 | Minor flaws aside, Cyberpunk 2077 on PC is an exciting and enthralling open world experience. It doesn’t set a new industry standard, but it does most of the things it aims to do with great success. | Read review |
GamingTrend | Ron Burke | Not Recommended | 12-23-2020 | In the end, Cyberpunk 2077 is an absolutely gorgeous game in search of a soul, which is ironic, given the duality of the protagonist’s situation. The developers worked extraordinarily hard on what’s here, polishing it to an absolutely gorgeous shine on PC, delivering stunning visuals…when they work correctly. They also delivered a game that is a great deal of fun at some moments, and bafflingly broken the next. With over 30 GB of updates since launch, this game needs more time in the oven. Sure, it’s better on PC, but that’s cold comfort when it’s hardly functional on other platforms. What’s clear is that this game is no more ready for release than it is for review. Major patches are already slated for January and February, and we’ll revisit it at that time to score it. Right now, buyer beware. There’s a fun game underneath all this, but only if you are playing on PC or Stadia. | Read review |
GBAtemp | Stephen Peddigrew | 7 / 10 | 12-30-2020 | Cyberpunk 2077 is a great timewaster filled with plenty of opportunities for dumb fun that come from the clever implementation of future tech into its combat. Hey Poor Player | Christian Angeles | 2.5 / 5 stars | 12-20-2020 | I have never equally loved and hated a game as much as Cyberpunk 2077. When it works, it’s definitely a fun game of sorts, but when it breaks, which it does too often in every sense of the word, it immediately saps any sort of fun from the experience. Decision-making constructions leave you free where you need them. Conversely, they bind you in places where it is important. Everything fits together thanks to that. Oyungezer Online | M. İhsan Tatari | 7.5 / 10 | We were expecting a GOTY, instead we played a game that has unforgivable bugs. Instead of playing in this ‘unfinished’ state, we suggest you to wait for updates. | Read review
PC Gamer | James Davenport | 78 / 100 | 12-07-2020 | Some nice characters and stories nested in an astounding open world, undercut by jarring bugs at every turn. | Read review |
PC Invasion | Jason Rodriguez | 9 / 10 | 12-14-2020 | Cyberpunk 2077 has some glaring flaws and missed opportunities. Its open-world sandbox suffers from poor NPC and police AI, and it lacks customization and transmogrification features to help your character stand out. Still, the pros outweigh the cons owing to a brilliant narrative, memorable missions, strong supporting cast of characters, well-integrated combat and hacking mechanics, and jaw-dropping visuals. | Read review |
PCGamesN | Richard Scott-Jones | 9 / 10 | 12-07-2020 | Groundbreaking, but not quite as much as you’re hoping it is. Cyberpunk 2077 doesn’t surpass its brilliant influences, but in Night City, Johnny Silverhand, and its chilling vision of hyper-capitalism, it claims territory of its own. | Read review |
PCMag | Unknown | 3.5 / 5 stars | 12-10-2020 | I fell in love with Night City, warts and all. If its many bugs can get ironed out, Cyberpunk 2077 is a potential Game of the Year candidate. Here’s hoping that CD Projekt Red can quickly push out fixes. | Read review |
PlayStation LifeStyle | Chandler Wood | 5 / 10 | 12-18-2020 | Cyberpunk 2077, when it works, is a shallow popcorn flick of a video game, not a industry shaping experience that redefines the open-world RPG genre. Perhaps the bigger problem, particularly for console owners, is that Cyberpunk 2077 doesn’t work. It’s a mess of half-baked ideas and rough gameplay that should have never been released in the first place. While the PC version faces criticism for various issues and praise for others, the PS4 version of Cyberpunk 2077 feels and looks like a whole different game that simply needed a lot more time. | Read review |
PlayStation Universe | Joe Apsey | 6 / 10 | 12-17-2020 | Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City is one of the best sci-fi dystopias ever showcased in games. The stories it has to tell and the characters there are to meet are engrossing and terrifying. Despite some performance issues on PS5 backwards compatibility, it is still worth playing for the excellent character and narrative work. But, if you own a PS4, do not buy Cyberpunk 2077 as it is a technical mess that barely functions. | Read review |

Press Start | Brodie Gibbons | 9 / 10 | 12-08-2020 | Cyberpunk 2077 is staggering, overwhelming, and even surprising at times in its spectacle. Although my first dozen hours with the game has been marred by easy-to-fix problems, Nighty City, along with all it offers and all that call it home, makes for an intoxicating escape. Here’s hoping the next one hundred hours are as utterly compelling. | Read review |
pressakey.com | Tobias Heinen | Recommended | 02-12-2021 | I’m in a huge conflict with Cyberpunk 2077. Much of this game is just fantastically well written, the characters draw me in and I want to learn more about them and the world around them. A densely populated city, terrific graphics splendor and deep role-playing weave makes this future dystopia something special. | Read review |
PSX Brasil | Bruno Henrique Vinhadel | 60 / 100 | 12-18-2020 | It is impossible to enjoy the qualities of Cyberpunk 2077 on a console today, even on PS5. A technical disaster on an unfinished product shows how the game production process urgently needs to improve. Despite the numerous negative barriers, there is still a good game here, but it will need many adjustments to present this. | Read review |
Push Square | Robert Ramsey | 3 / 10 | 12-11-2020 | We’re still playing Cyberpunk 2077 in order to bring you a finished review, but it’s impossible to recommend picking this game up at launch on PS4 or PS4 Pro. On PS5 via backwards compatibility, there’s still fun to be had | Read review |
Rock, Paper, Shotgun | Graham Smith | Recommended | 12-16-2020 | Cyberpunk 2077 is huge, sprawling, complex, and deeply flawed. It’s at its best as a fairly straightforward singleplayer action game, with likable characters and thrilling capers in a fascinatingly detailed open world that looks better than any game before it. It’s at its worst if you want it to be an RPG, an approach-as-you-please Deus Ex successor, or a polished piece of software. I enjoyed my time with it a lot, and I even want more of it, though I’m going to spend years complaining about its flaws. I’ll enjoy the complaining, too. | Read review |
Rocket Chainsaw | Adam Ghiggino | 3 / 5 stars | 12-20-2020 | Even ignoring performance issues and bugs, Cyberpunk 2077 is still a deeply flawed game, but there is a lot to like – from its rendition of Night City, to the breadth of its side content and the deep level of character customisation with perks and upgrades. | Read review |
RPGamer | Alex Fuller | 3 / 5 stars | 12-19-2020 | CD Projekt RED’s management has absolutely rushed it out before it was properly ready, and at this stage it’s very much a case of buyer beware. It’s clear that lots of effort has been put into creating Night City and the well-linked major gameplay systems, but even when putting the technical issues aside, it still feels much like many open-world games that have come before. | Read review |
Saudi Gamer | عصام الشهوان | 8 / 10 | 12-07-2020 | An ambitious, maybe over ambitious, thrilling ride that falters when it comes to execution. The developer’s strength shines through the world building and production, resulting in a unique mix that is let down by a myriad list of technical and AI problems. | Read review |
Screen Rant | Unknown | 4 / 5 stars | 12-07-2020 | Ultimately, it feels like Cyberpunk 2077 is a fitting bookend for the previous generation of games and a strong starting point for current-gen. Now it’s time to start innovating again. | Read review |

Shacknews | Josh Hawkins | 7 / 10 | 12-16-2020 | I’d love nothing more than to sit here and tell you that it’s a perfect game and that you won’t have any issues playing it. Sadly, that isn’t the case. In its current state, Cyberpunk 2077 has a strong story and world, but those strengths are weighed down by bad design decisions and bugs aplenty. | Read review |
Sirus Gaming | Matthew Arcilla | 4 / 10 | 12-24-2020 | It all comes down to the fact that Cyberpunk 2077 is a game that’s broken, inconsistently written and immature. That would be forgivable if the game was great, but in truth it isn’t much more than the sum of its borrowed parts. It remains to be seen in the court of long-term consumer opinion whether CD Projekt RED is truly criminal, but there’s no denying that they’ve been caught. | Read review |

The Games Machine | Danilo Dellafrana | 9.5 / 10 | 12-07-2020 | Cyberpunk 2077 is a wild journey within an incredibly fascinating setting; some technical uncertainties destined to disappear and a partial repetitiveness limit its glory, but overall it is an adventure worthy of William Gibson himself. Cyberpunk 2077 allowed me to finally feel immersed in that pen & paper RPG I discovered in 1988, pouring rain clouding my view in a kaleidoscope of neon signs, just as I had imagined while leafing through those pages. Some may not consider it a perfect game, but I do. | Read review |
TheSixthAxis | Alexis Ong | 6 / 10 | 12-29-2020 | As someone with a lifelong soft spot for the medium-specific charm of video game glitches, Cyberpunk 2077’s botched launch just ain’t it. Even overlooking the rushed rollout, after an eternity of being bludgeoned in the face with hyperbole, running through 2077 feels like five different games stitched together into an entertaining, passably decent, generic behemoth. | Read review |
TheXboxHub | Gareth Brierley | 4.5 / 5 stars | 12-24-2020 | So, Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox. This is a game I had been looking forward to for what seems like a lifetime, and it was never going to live up to the high expectations that CD Projekt Red, I or the world as a whole has been putting on it. It’s a great RPG, but at the same time it doesn’t do anything grounding breaking in terms of style and gameplay. Yes it has bugs, there is an annoying UI and I can’t ignore the mission stutters, but similarly it’s a game that I constantly think back to when I’m not gaming, looking forward to my next deep session with it. | Read review |
Too Much Gaming | Carlos Hernandez | 7 / 10 | In time, it will likely get better, which makes it hard to recommend, as patience shouldn’t be a requirement to enjoy a video game, especially from a studio highly praised in providing great games. TrueGaming | محمد البسيمي | 9 / 10 | 12-07-2020 | Cyberpunk 2077 is definitely a technological wonder in the world of video games proving that CDPR has reached unprecedented heights that we could never imagine. TrustedReviews | Jade King | 4 / 5 stars | 12-07-2020 | CD Projekt Red has created a triumphant RPG experience with Cyberpunk 2077, yet it often falters under the weight of its own ambition thanks to inconsistent writing and narrative | Read review |
Twinfinite | Alex Gibson | 4 / 5 stars | 12-22-2020 | It’s a very good RPG –great, even–, just not a seminal one that does anything to push open-world game design beyond what has been done before. | Read review |
Unboxholics | Σάκης Καρπάς | Not Recommended | Firstly, read the whole review to draw safer conclusions. Secondly, those of you who have a good PC, although you will not play the next polished diamond in the industry, will at least be able to enjoy it to the fullest extent possible. Those of you who have a PS5 and Xbox Series X expect the big next-gen patch to come sometime in 2021. Those of you who have a PS4 and Xbox One, ignore it for now. Yes, Cyberpunk 2077 is, in its backbone, a very good game, but it was not ready at all. CD Projekt RED just shot itself in the leg… | Read review
USgamer | Julie Muncy | 2 / 5 stars | 12-23-2020 | Playing Cyberpunk 2077 is like suffering a death of a thousand cuts. VG247 | James Billcliffe | Recommended | 12-07-2020 | In the midst of such intense anticipation and scrutiny, it’s easy to get carried away with what Cyberpunk 2077 could have been. The final experience might be more familiar than many predicted, with plenty of elements that aren’t perfect, but it’s dripping with detail and engaging stories. With so much to see and do, Cyberpunk 2077 is the kind of RPG where you blink and hours go by, which is just what we need to finish off 2020. | Read review |
VGChartz | Kelsy Polnik | 8.5 / 10 | 12-22-2020 | Cyberpunk 2077 is a beautiful, complicated mess of a game. | Read review |
VGN | Davide Frontera | 8.3 / 10 | 12-24-2020 | Cyberpunk 2077 is definitely an ambitious title, maybe even too much. We are faced with a first-person action-RPG as deep as few, characterized by an inspired, alive and vibrant game world. You will literally be dragged into a whirlwind of missions, assignments, contracts that frame a well-written and very original main plot, with memorable moments and a subliminal artistic direction. It is a pity that not all aspects of production can enjoy the same care: an unconvincing artificial intelligence and driving model bring down the experience, with a technical sector that is still far from its full realization and compromised by a long series of bugs and various inaccuracies. The hope is that console versions can be enhanced by patches announced early next year, with a focus on upgrading to next-generation hardware that should bring Cyberpunk 2077 to its rightful level, which we all hope for. | Read review |
Video Chums | Trey Griffeth | 6 / 10 | 01-18-2021 | Cyberpunk 2077 is a frustrating mess. Its main narrative and characters are compelling but it’s all within a game so buggy that, in terms of games with good stories and botched launches, it gives Fallout: New Vegas a run for its money. While I enjoyed my time in Night City because of its solid writing and characters, I cannot give Cyberpunk 2077 a recommendation. | Read review |
VideoGamer | Josh Wise | 8 / 10 | 12-16-2020 | The scenes that have lodged most deeply in my memory are not those devoted to the chases, the shootouts, or the narrow squeaks, but those possessed of a quiet empathy. | Read review |
WayTooManyGames | Jason Palazini | 8 / 10 | 12-18-2020 | Cyberpunk 2077 is a good game. It’s not the end-all-be-all game that we were promised half a decade ago, but it is still an objectively good game. Despite even my own impatience for its release, I would have rather waited another few months than have seen it get released in its current state. But here we are. | Read review |
We Got This Covered | David Morgan | 3.5 / 5 stars | 12-21-2020 | Cyberpunk 2077 was never going to live up to the grand promises made by CD Projekt Red, but its problems stem deeper than bugs resulting from its rushed development. | Read review |
WellPlayed | Kieron Verbrugge | 7.5 / 10 | 12-27-2020 | I can’t say that I didn’t enjoy the majority of my time in Night City but for every step forward, the game takes one or two back. And then clips through the floor, and blames it on a woman. And then crashes. | Read review |
Windows Central | Jez Corden | 5 / 5 stars | 12-07-2020 | Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world masterpiece that features some of the most immersive and liberating storytelling this industry has to offer. With full freedom to choose V’s personality, looks, and gameplay style, Cyberpunk 2077 gives the player an unrelenting amount of control in a world that delivers dozens upon dozens of hours of high-quality content. Cyberpunk 2077 is a mammoth achievement and solidifies CD Projekt RED’s place at the top of the pile. | Read review |
Worth Playing | Chris Barnes | 7 / 10 | 01-25-2021 | At this moment, Cyberpunk 2077 for the PC is a game of big ups and downs. The setting is fantastic, but there aren’t too many characters you’re going to resonate with. The missions may vary widely in terms of inventiveness and quality, but the open world feels sterile since there isn’t much to do. The many abilities you can use seem to encourage inventiveness, but your gun is often the universal answer for almost all situations. Cyberpunk 2077 would be a good game if it weren’t for all of the issues currently plaguing it; the bugs range from hilarious to deal-breakers, but we certainly hope that the developer’s track record in fixing things over time means that this game will eventually become solid enough. It rates a little higher than the console versions due to the knockout beauty that’s delivered with ray tracing, but don’t expect this title to be in any of this year’s Game of the Year discussions. | Read review |
Xbox Achievements | Dan Webb | 85 / 100 | 12-15-2020 | Cyberpunk 2077 is an incredible but hugely flawed video game. At its core lies a deceptively deep-RPG, set in one of the most wonderous cities ever created in video games and it’s genuinely an experience I’ll never forget. It’s just a shame it’s such a bloody bugfest, though. | Read review |
Zoomg | Afshin Ravari | 8 / 10 | 12-27-2020 | Cyberpunk 2077, from the beginning, seemed to have a work of particular ambition, and to be honest, in order to really get to the level of its ideas, it still has work to be done. Because the published version of the game, on one hand, at its foundation is really good at a very high level; however, when it comes to gameplay, as much as it can be enjoyed by its role-playing systems, poor artificial intelligence ruins the joy of the game and even affects the good quality of its core. | Read review |
