If you’ve got a like minded friend who loves puzzles and escape rooms as much as you do, We Were Here Forever is a very special game with a 12 hour co-op campaign full of some of the most clever puzzles around.
We Were Here Forever is a fun, challenging co-op puzzler, but it’s too long and has too many obtuse puzzles to easily recommend to everyone.
We Were Here Forever is essentially a Non-Fungible-Escape Room. Playing with a friend means trying to explain what is happening to you, while at the same time you have to deduce from his (or her) words hints and clues that might help you find your freedom. Words are your only weapon, and your only way out, so make sure you play this with the right person (or the wrong one, for potentially hilarious outcomes).

BaziCenter | Hamed Rostamkhani | 8.5 / 10 | 05-30-2022 | We Were Here Forever is a great choice if you wish to spend some quality time at home with a friend. An atmospheric, puzzle-oriented and challenging co-op experience that will last for hours and never stops to entertain. | Read review |
Checkpoint Gaming | Sam Harkin | 9 / 10 | 05-23-2022 | Transitory issues aside, We Were Here Forever is, at least at the time of writing, my favourite game of the year thus far. At times it frustrated, but all that did was make the completion of its various brain teasers all the more satisfying. The mark of a truly fantastic game is one that aligns all its elements around a central purpose or goal. In this title, everything orbits around testing the skill of its participants, and that makes for a truly memorable experience for its pairs of players. | Read review |
cublikefoot | Chase Ferrin | 8 / 10 | 05-10-2022 | We Were Here Forever is the best in the series yet. At double the length, it brings all the crazy puzzles that the series has become known for, just bigger and better. | Read review |
DarkZero | Dominic Sheard | 8 / 10 | 05-12-2022 | This review is for We Were Here Forever, though, and with that in mind it should be noted that there are not many games like this, ones that rely on communication and asymmetrical puzzle solving. | Read review |
GameSkinny | Peter Szpytek | 6 / 10 | 05-11-2022 | We Were Here Forever has some good ideas but stumbles into unbalanced puzzles that leave one player standing around and sounding like Darth Vader in their walkie-talkie. | Read review |
GameWatcher | Neil Bolt | 7.5 / 10 | 05-30-2022 | We Were Here Forever gives no quarter in its cooperative puzzling, fully trusting players to get on with it and work together. At its peak, the wondrous structure of this game is simply sublime, and perhaps the most invested I’ve felt in a co-op game since Portal 2. It doesn’t always hit those highs, and matchmaking was personally hit and miss, but We Were Here Forever generally dazzles. | Read review |

Merlin’in Kazanı | Ersin Kılıç | 76 / 100 | 05-10-2022 | If you are looking for a Co-op puzzle game that you can play with your friend, We Were Here Forever is a production that will satisfy you. | Read review |

WellPlayed | Adam Ryan | 6.5 / 10 | 05-09-2022 | We Were Here Forever is a fun, cooperative puzzling experience that unfortunately outstays its welcome with a bloated runtime and an infuriating amount of backtracking. | Read review |
