Spider-Man Remastered is the definitive version of one of the best superhero games ever made.
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is the definitive way to play the game, whether you’ve played the original or not, and it’s so good you should play it again. The 4k, ray-traced fidelity mode is stunning, and the performance mode is smoother than Patrick Swayze. While I don’t like the paywall the game is behind, it is well worth the expense to play this game over again.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered swings onto PlayStation 5 and brings with it a sterling remastering of one of 2018’s best games. Though perhaps not quite essential for rabid players who have explored every nook and cranny of Insomniac’s impeccably realised Marvel New York, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered is must-have gaming for everyone who has yet to sample the heroic adventures of the original friendly, neighbourhood Spider-Man.

Cubed3 | Neil Flynn | 10 / 10 | 07-08-2021 | It is rare to see such a strongly varied game, based on a beloved license such as Spiderman, hit all of the right notes and deliver in such a satisfying fashion. The simplicity yet sheer variety in combat is unapparelled, traversal is mind-blowingly fun and cathartic, and the soundtrack is epic, not only the musical score but the voice acting as well. Visually, Marvel's Spiderman Remastered looks outstanding, with raytracing and 60fps, which is exactly the type of quality that New York's favourite superhero deserves. PlayStation owners and Spiderman fans who do not own this are doing themselves an absolute injustice as it is quite simply one of the best games available on the system. | Read review |
GameGrin | Richard Shivdarsan | 9 / 10 | 12-09-2020 | Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered is without a doubt the definitive way to experience this excellent Spider-Man game for newcomers as well as returning fans. The new Peter might take some getting used to, but you'll forget all about him when you're thwiping through New York at 60FPS. | Read review |
GamingBolt | Pramath | 8 / 10 | 11-17-2020 | Spider-Man was one of the best games on the PS4, and it is now one of the best games in the PS5's burgeoning library. | Read review |

Impulsegamer | Sean Warhurst | 4.6 / 5 stars | 11-20-2020 | Intended to complement Spider-Man: Miles Morales, this return to the game that started it all is well worth taking a gander at, even if ironically being bundled with Miles may have cast an even larger light on Spider-Man: Remastered's flaws, as the tighter story and streamlined objectives of the former really draw attention to the more grindier portions present in the later stages of the game. | Read review |
PlayStation Universe | John-Paul Jones | 8.5 / 10 | 11-11-2020 | Marvel's Spider-Man: Remastered swings onto PlayStation 5 and brings with it a sterling remastering of one of 2018's best games. Push Square | Brett Posner-Ferdman | 9 / 10 | 11-23-2020 | Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered may be tacked onto Miles Morales, but it is a worthwhile addition to PS5 library. Newcomers will have a blast swinging through New York for the first time, while veterans will appreciate all the new changes and additions, while still getting to transfer their PS4 save. Undoubtedly, the removal of load times is the highlight here, but all of the graphical enhancements show just how amazing Spider-Man can be. Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered is easily the definitive way to play Insomniac's Spider-Man and comes with a huge recommendation for all web-slingers. | Read review |
SpazioGames | Domenico Musicò | Recommended | 11-14-2020 | Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered is not a reproposition that PS4 players must feel obliged to have back, because beyond the technical upgrade and beautiful lighting, there is nothing else that acts as a real motivation to start the adventure again. However, if you plan to buy Miles Morales on PS5 and are true Spider-Man enthusiasts, the unique package is by no means an option to be underestimated, although it is short-sighted for an increasingly multifaceted audience. | Read review |
ThisGenGaming | Justin Oneil | 9 / 10 | 11-30-2020 | Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered comes bundled with the Ultimate Edition of Miles Morales on PlayStation 5 and it complements it really well. It’s the perfect place for newcomers to start and players like myself who already played it on PlayStation 4 will likely find it worth playing again just to experience the improved visuals, better performance, and near zero load times. Even two years later, Insomniac’s first take on Spider-Man is still one of the best playing super hero video games of all time. | Read review |
Video Chums | A.J. Maciejewski | 9 / 10 | 12-02-2020 | If you haven't played Marvel's Spider-Man yet then this Remastered release will be sure to knock your socks off as you zip through New York City while beating the crap out of a wide variety of nogoodniks and discovering oodles of fun treats along the way. | Read review |
We Got This Covered | Billy Givens | 4 / 5 stars | 11-13-2020 | Spider-Man Remastered is the absolute best way to experience the original's engrossing gameplay and emotional story beats -- even its occasional banal elements are overshadowed by the immense improvements made to almost every aspect of the visual and tangible experience. | Read review |
