Tarsier returns with another slice of horror that’s just about glorious enough to make up for the frustrations.
A thoroughly entertaining work of video game art that improves mechanically on the original and proves thought-provoking in terms of more than just the puzzle-solving.
Whether you’re a seasoned survivor or an all-new player, you’ll have a thrilling time with the sequel. It’s ideal to start from the beginning, but it’s not mandatory – this freaky story stands on its own.

3DNews | Денис Щенников | 8 / 10 | 02-08-2021 | Little Nightmares 2 is a safe sequel in terms of gameplay, but what makes this game really important is its story. | Read review |
Areajugones | Víctor Rodríguez | 8 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | Tarsier Studios brings back Little nightmares II with a continuing bet but capable of being surprising. A much improved narrative section, exquisite gameplay and outstanding design form an experience that is only tarnished by the introduction to force of a combat system that does not fit. | Read review |
Atomix | Rodolfo León | 88 / 100 | 02-09-2021 | Little Nightmares 2 is a fantastic sequel that greatly improves everything done by Tarsier Studios during the first game. With a creepy atmosphere and an excellent level design, this is a game that definitely deserves your attention. | Read review |
Attack of the Fanboy | Tasha Quinn | 4 / 5 stars | 02-09-2021 | Little Nightmares II excels at creating a truly eerie atmosphere that'll stay with you even after you've put your controller down. | Read review |
AusGamers | Kosta Andreadis | 8.4 / 10 | 02-10-2021 | Being placed in a world akin to a setting kids might be whisked away to if they were transported to a nightmarish version of their own imagination -- by that interdimensional beast that lives underneath their floorbirds -- it's, yeah, terrifying. | Read review |
BaziCenter | Hashem Habibian | 9 / 10 | 03-08-2021 | While everyone is waiting for technically advanced 9th generation games, Little Nightmares 2 steals the show with its beautiful art design, jaw-dropping story and unique gameplay and atmosphere. | Read review |
But Why Tho? | Quinn Hiers | 9 / 10 | 02-13-2021 | Despite some annoying glitches, Little Nightmares 2 is a game any horror fan should play. The controls are simplistic, but the puzzles and enemies provide plenty of challenge. While still charming, the horror feels darker, and the themes will have you thinking for a long time after you finish the game. While you won’t need to play the first game to understand the events of Little Nightmares 2, any fan of the series will have fun piecing together how these two games connect. | Read review |
Cerealkillerz | Gabriel Bogdan | 8.5 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | Little Nightmares 2 surprises with an incredibly fascinating Story and some fitting grotesque locations that add to it. The new Gameplay elements doesn't really bring the expected additional game depth but besides that we really recommend this game for horror fans. | Read review |
CGMagazine | Brock McLaughlin | 8 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | Overall Little Nightmares 2 does everything the original did but bigger and better. What’s keeping me from being more positive about the game is it’s still very much the same. I didn’t find myself falling in love with the game like I did the first time around. I felt like I’d played this game before and the new additions weren’t enough to really wow me. The combat felt tacked on and not important enough to warrant. It also didn’t help answer any of the questions it acts. If there is to be a trilogy of games this certainly feels like The Two Towers of games. | Read review |
Checkpoint Gaming | Charlie Kelly | 5 / 10 | 02-10-2021 | Unlike the original, Little Nightmares 2 isn’t a game I can envision reaching cult success. It’s sad to see, too. Already the predecessor was quite noble, flaws aside, it just needed some upholstering. Instead, the follow up just adds more frustration and more jank over a longer time period. There’s absolutely striking imagery and wonders worth seeing in Little Nightmares 2. They’re just quite hard to recommend amongst all of the challenges the game presents. | Read review |
Chicas Gamers | Estela Villa | Recommended | 02-09-2021 | Little Nightmares 2 is a game where the central theme is escapism through the journey of Mono and Six. The title will explore the consequences of living a life full of distractions while hiding from the painful truth of existence. Undoubtedly a great game that despite its short duration, will keep you tense and will make you think a little to solve its puzzles. | Read review |
COGconnected | Jaz Sagoo | 90 / 100 | 02-09-2021 | Being almost double the length of its predecessor, Little Nightmares II is a larger, more disgusting beast that is essential to gamers that are intrigued by the morbid. Digital Chumps | Ben Sheene | 9.5 / 10 | 06-12-2017 | Little Nightmares II builds on the original's macabre formula of unsettling imagery and clever puzzles by crafting more diverse environments and expanding the player's toolset for solving and escaping tense situations. | Read review |
Digital Spy | Ben Rayner | 4 / 5 stars | 02-09-2021 | Minor issues aside, Little Nightmares 2 is a spot-on sequel, delivering more of what made the original so great in the first place, while adding that little something extra thanks to its AI companionship with Six. The story is well paced, giving you just enough of each environment so we weren't left desperate to move on before being whisked to somewhere new and each new creature offered a fresh challenge and opened up new ways to think about the tasks at hand. | Read review |
Digitally Downloaded | Matt Sainsbury | 4 / 5 stars | 02-24-2021 | So there are some very clear positives and very clear negatives to Little Nightmares II. The narrative is quite good, solid with lots of meaning flowing beneath the surface. The gameplay is mostly simple enough, the settings are ugly-pretty, the music enhances everything. Basically, it does wrap into a neat little package that can be unwrapped in layers. I can't ignore the issues, though, mainly with the lack of options and repetitiveness that can happen with failure. Still, Little Nightmares II does in fact feel like a conclusion to the first game in the series, yet still manages to turn it into a never-ending story so that someone else would be able to continue with the world. In that sense, it's actually quite clever. | Read review |

Game Revolution | Mack Ashworth | 3.75 / 5 stars | 02-09-2021 | Little Nightmares 2 succeeds in building on the foundation that the original game laid out. The folks at Tarsier Studios have expanded on the story and lore with new characters and settings, added gameplay mechanics that don’t overcomplicate the action or bloat the pacing, and proven themselves worryingly imaginative when it comes to thinking up dastardly denizens of a perfectly grim world. | Read review |
Gameblog | Filipe Da Silva Barbosa | 8 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | In many ways, Little Nightmares 2 is better than the first installment of the series. Throughout the six hours needed to beat the game, the player finds himself embarked on a whirlwind of opposite emotions, both terrified and blown away by the atmosphere that emerges from the setting, magnified by clever camera work, and by the general pace of the game. In addition, we can count on a satisfying and non-frustrating conclusion this time. | Read review |
GameCrate | Angelo D'Argenio | 7 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | Little Nightmares II is just a worse game than the original. Everything they added to the system feels clunky at best and unfair at worst. It's a shame because this same story, with its same environments, same levels, same enemies, and same music and sound would have been infinitely better if they kept the mechanics from the original. | Read review |
Gamefa | Mahdi Maleki | 8.8 / 10 | 02-17-2021 | Games like Little Nightmares 2 once again define the meaning of quality and an interactive effect in a deafening silence and without a particular expectation. GameGrin | Adam Kerr | 10 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | A fantastic sequel soaked in atmosphere and tension. Little Nightmares II surpasses its predecessor far beyond what anyone would have expected. GameMAG | Unknown | 8 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | Little Nightmares II is like a wonderful gift for fans of the original game, but you'll not find any really important innovations here. In addition, controls are not very comfortable. However, the shortcomings are more than compensated by the atmosphere of horror and hopelessness. Tarsier Studios' creation can become one of the most vivid gaming experiences of 2020. | Read review |
GamePitt | Rob Pitt | 9 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | Little Nightmares II is a great continuation of the grotesque exploration puzzle series. The game is a solo adventure, yet you’ll be joined by the protagonist of the previous game, both working together to discover the reason behind the strange signal and put an end to its hypnotic control. Some parts can get frustrating when trying to run away or solve a puzzle with a timer before you get slaughtered, but this only leads to a lot of satisfaction upon completion. Aside from a few issues with the controls, there’s very little to complain about within this brilliant no hand-holding horror game. | Read review |

Gamersky | 棘皮动物的野望 | 9 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | After jumping out of the cabin with poor scene perception in the previous game, "Little Nightmare 2" took players to more familiar farms, schools, hospitals and other places, creating a strong sense of horror with everything weird. Coupled with a variety of and approachable puzzle design, even if the game still has some inherent problems, this game is worth looking forward to. | Read review |

GameSpace | Scott Jeslis | 9 / 10 | 03-04-2021 | Little Nightmares II is more of what fans enjoyed in the first installment. It's a terrific blend of evenly spaced platforming combined with environmental object manipulation puzzles. If that wasn't enough there's even a dose of co-ed puzzle solving. The game especially shines during the tense, atmospheric real-time platforming sequences. With its forgiving checkpoint auto-saves even a tired, old gamer can succeed through the platforming sequences. | Read review |
GameSpew | Kim Snaith | 9 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | Little Nightmares II is a true evolution from the first game. Tarsier Studios has done a fantastic job in creating a world that’s even more terrifying, brought to life with absolutely sublime art and sound. | Read review |
GameSpot | Andrew King | 7 / 10 | 02-18-2021 | Little Nightmares II is a delightful follow-up to developer Tarsier's 2017 horror platformer, but it's sometimes weighed down by gameplay frustrations and inaccessibility. | Read review |

GameWatcher | Luiz Coelho | 8.5 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | Not only does Little Nightmares 2 live up to its name, but it also improves on nearly every aspect of the first game. GamingTrend | Lawrence Le | 85 / 100 | 02-11-2021 | A visceral assault on the senses, Little Nightmares II drowns you in its thick, moody atmosphere and renders you helpless against the Pale City's many horrors. It is a meticulously crafted, devilishly clever puzzle-adventure that weaponizes every tool the medium has to offer to terrify you. While it retains many of the flaws that hurt its predecessor, its length, polish, and ambition propel it to the upper echelon of horror games. | Read review |
Generación Xbox | Juan Lorente | 9 / 10 | 02-16-2021 | I can only say that I find it unfair that games of this type do not take as many spotlights as other releases. With fewer resources than great productions, this title has been able to convey to me some sensations that I haven't felt for a long time than I felt at the controls of a video game. We've all had nightmares once when we've felt small and helpless, and at times this new installment of Little Nightmares knows how to make us feel identically. | Read review |
God is a Geek | Chris White | 9 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | Little Nightmares II tells a beautiful yet fragile story of friendship, sadness, and searching for the light in the darkness. The puzzles are well-designed, the music is stunning, and the visuals are on another level. It surpasses the original in every way, not just in how it looks or plays, but in the way the horror hits a lot closer to home that I ever could’ve imagined. It goes without saying, but Tarsier’s follow-up is a work of passion and poetry, always asking you to look not just at what’s behind the television screen, but at what’s in front of it as well. | Read review |

GRYOnline.pl | Michał Grygorcewicz | 8 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | Little Nightmares II is a well-designed sequel that proves the developers have listened to opinions of gamers. Hardcore Gamer | Jordan Helm | 4 / 5 stars | 02-09-2021 | That same distortion and monstrous-like exaggeration of previous may be out in full force once again, but Little Nightmares II succeeds on its bolder and more refined continuation from the 2017 original. | Read review |
Hey Poor Player | Francis DiPersio | 4 / 5 stars | 02-11-2021 | Little Nightmares II is an excellent follow-up to an already terrific game. While the changes it makes to the series’ established formula, such as the dual protagonist story and the addition of combat, are a bit hit or miss, I still found it nearly impossible to put the game down during my six-hour playthrough thanks to its satisfying puzzles and unrivaled atmosphere. If you’re a fan of the original Little Nightmares, then this is a game you won’t want to miss. However, if the performance problems I mentioned have you on the fence (though honestly, they’re not that bad), perhaps consider picking up the game on a more capable platform than the Switch. | Read review |
Hobby Consolas | Álvaro Alonso | 82 / 100 | 02-09-2021 | With a presentation that will give you the creeps, a premise that's still very original and a gameplay formula that adds some welcome improvements, Little Nightmares II has every ingredient to make fans that liked (feared?) the first game love this one too. | Read review |

IGN Spain | Álex Pareja | 8 / 10 | 02-10-2021 | Little Nightmares 2 is a fantastic that incorporates fantastic elements such as a useful companion that generates an interesting cooperation. Impulsegamer | Abdul Saad | 4 / 5 stars | 02-20-2021 | All in all, I enjoyed my time with the game almost more than I did with the first. The sequel really makes you think about this strange world where everyone's a monster except these kids who've been stripped of their innocent due to their unjust and cruel fate. I also can't help but think of what other characters other than Mono and Six may be out there fighting their own battles, so I really hope we get to see more of this hauntingly beautiful world Tarsier Studios has brought to life. So if you're a fan of the first game or even have a mild interest in the series, I can't recommend both games enough. | Read review |
INDIANTVCZ | Barbora Šalandová | 8 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | Little Nightmares 2 is a technically great game with a unique atmosphere and living world, which offers pleasantly different logic puzzles and horror moments. Just Push Start | Mark Fajardo | 3.9 / 5 stars | 02-13-2021 | Unfortunately, there really isn't a whole lot to say about Little Nightmares II. You get a general sense of how the story is progressing through events and the world is interesting, even if contrast hides a lot of details, making it a series of rather basic puzzles and stealth sections to the end. Given neither are overly engaging, it can be a little underwhelming, but it also fits the concept. You're not some otherworldly creature moving giant rocks to get into an impossible place, you're likely some kid trying not to die to a bear trap or captured. As a result, fans of the original will likely love it, whereas newcomers or those looking for a harder experience will likely be underwhelmed. | Read review |
JVL | Raptor | 8.5 / 10 | 02-10-2021 | Tarsier Studios delivers a suite worthy of its predecessor. Next Gen Base | Unknown | 9 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | Little Nightmares II has far surpassed the original, and it holds true that this series remains one of the most terrifying and emotionally provocative experiences you will ever face! Once again Tarsier Studios have enthralled me, gripping me for a solid 9 hours straight playthrough that I just could not step away from. I have experienced loneliness, companionship, hope, joy, despair, terror and betrayal. Overall, I feel like my heart has been ripped out, but I would willingly go through it all again. If I had to find fault with anything, the controls can be a little cumbersome and may take some getting used to, and at times my jumps did not quite land the way I wanted. I only encountered one bug where a hatch would not open by a checkpoint, but this was easily resolved by restarting from that point. Will I be revisiting? Yes, it appears I truly am a masochist, but there are collectible, wearable hats and sorrowful glitches I must go back for. I am sure this is not the last we will see of Six and Mono’s story, and I am genuinely excited to see what comes next! | Read review |

Nintendo Enthusiast | Jaimie Ditchfield | 9 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | Little Nightmares II is one of those "experience" kind of games. It is similar to titles such as Journey and Abzu, where it's all about the journey, not the destination. Little Nightmares II revels in its use of compelling level design to tell a deep and saddening tale of discovery. The stealth sections in particular provided some truly intense moments, with the world of Pale City always providing a constant, creepy atmosphere. My time spent exploring dark hallways, brooding corridors, and creepy streets will be something I'll always remember. | Read review |
Nintendo Life | Stuart Gipp | 8 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | Little Nightmares II is nothing less than engaging from start to finish, with superb pacing, entertainingly varied level design and excellent graphics and performance. Its only real flaws are based on the imprecision that comes with all games in its sub-genre, as well as a few sections that feel more about trial and error than reactive survival. In our view, though, this doesn't detract from a far superior sequel and one of the best cinematic platformers we've had the privilege of enjoying. A real stylish treat. | Read review |

PC Invasion | Cameron Woolsey | 8 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | Despite a couple of hurdles, Little Nightmares II remains true to the eerie, terrifying foundation built by its predecessor. It can't completely avoid comparison, but its expanded world and NPC co-op features are well implemented and make the journey worth taking. | Read review |
PlayStation LifeStyle | Rebecca Smith | 7 / 10 | 02-10-2021 | The story is approximately double the length of that in Little Nightmares but doesn’t overstay its welcome. Players will take slightly longer if they look for the hidden areas that contain hats or holographic Kids that Mono can absorb into himself. While the story is concluded completely, things are left open for the possibility of a third game in the franchise. Maybe by the time that rolls around, there won’t be as much need for trial and error puzzling, or for accidental platforming deaths. For now, those who enjoyed the first title will likely love the second. Others will perhaps find it a bit too frustrating to see things through to the end. | Read review |
PlayStation Universe | Joe Apsey | 9 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | Little Nightmares 2 is a game that pulls together every aspect of a game's presentation and pulls it off miraculously. Everything here is amplified from the original and moments feel like true cinematic wonders, unlike anything you have seen before. Combat doesn't always work, but the whole package is truly impressive and a showcase of the talent Tarsier Studios possess. | Read review |

PowerUp! | Leo Stevenson | 8.8 / 10 | 02-10-2021 | Little Nightmares 2 is a superb puzzle-platformer that'll worm its way into your brain and stay there. | Read review |
Press Start | James Mitchell | 7.5 / 10 | 02-10-2021 | Little Nightmares II isn't content with just iterating on its predecessor, instead improving on it in practically every way. The puzzles are challenging and rewarding, combat surprisingly functional, and the imagery is as striking as ever. While trial-and-error design bogs down Little Nightmares II considerably, it's far and away a better game than the original. | Read review |
PSX Brasil | Francisco Maia | 85 / 100 | 02-14-2021 | Little Nightmares 2 is more of the same, but it is a deja vu of a very unique and enjoyable experience. Although it does not bring significant innovations and provides a brief experience, the art and design of the game is quite impressive. It is an essential game for anyone who enjoyed the first title, on the other hand, it is not a product that will change the opinion of those who did not like the predecessor. | Read review |
Push Square | Sammy Barker | 6 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | Little Nightmares II is worth experiencing for its art direction alone, although its hand cramping controls can be an obstacle at times. The title relies far too heavily on trial and error, which frustrates, but many of its encounters will live with you long after the credits roll, and so it's successful at creating a lasting impression. It's a stiff and rigid release, but its puzzles are constantly reinventing themselves, and each frame draws you in with its surreal and unsettling imagery. | Read review |

Reno Gazette-Journal | Jason Hidalgo | 8.5 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | Franklin Roosevelt once famously said that we have nothing to fear but fear itself. Then again, he was never chased by the oversized head of a giant schoolmarm with a serpentine neck. It’s just one example of the many surprises that Little Nightmares II has in store for players who wander into its bizarre and melancholic world. If you love creepy adventure thrillers with puzzle platforming to boot, this is one nightmare you’d want to tuck into. | Read review |
Rice Digital | Lilia Hellal | Recommended | 03-25-2021 | Six’s story continues to become increasingly intriguing, but still feels unfinished as of now. Her true intention in her journey, her reasons for causing the damage and why she did what she did will hopefully be alluded to in the future, as she currently appears to be a morally grey main character. | Read review |
Rocket Chainsaw | Adam Ghiggino | 4 / 5 stars | 02-10-2021 | It’ll give you the willies in ways you might not expect, and ways that are hard to forget. | Read review |
Saudi Gamer | سندس الخباز | 8 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | An impressive return from Tarsier Studios, excellent immersive atmosphere that is filled with interesting enemies and frustratingly-good puzzles. | Read review |
Saving Content | Scott Ellison II | 4 / 5 stars | 02-17-2021 | Little Nightmares II manages to ratchet up the tension in every conceivable way that is dreadful without ever truly being scary. Tarsier Studios has brought out the best of themselves here. With a longer campaign, a larger world to soak up, and more creatures to experience, this is a bigger and better game in every regard. Little Nightmares II doesn’t reuse a single trick, has compelling reasons to experience this terrifying ordeal, and will encourage you to do it all over again to find its secrets. | Read review |

Sirus Gaming | Lexuzze Tablante | 10 / 10 | 02-16-2021 | Little Nightmares II is a sequel that everyone can love especially those die-hard fans of the franchise. You’re still greeted with unexpected threats lurking in every dark corner, the uneasy feeling you get when you walk through corridors and windows, and the unexpected twist at the end. I had a great time in my 5-6 hours of playthrough and I can say, it’s worth binging through all the chapters in one sitting. But that ending, wow. | Read review |
Slant Magazine | Ryan Aston | 3.5 / 5 stars | 02-11-2021 | At its best, the game sustains an effectively ominous atmosphere as it channels recognizable childhood fears. | Read review |
SpazioGames | Unknown | 8.1 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | Little Nightmares 2 is an evolution of the first game, with a brave second half that tells a more complex and delicate story about the struggle during the coming of age. | Read review |
Stevivor | Steve Wright | 7 / 10 | 02-10-2021 | Little Nightmares 2 is certainly polished and beautifully stylised, but it didn’t offer me a new experience. While many on-screen antagonists snared me in their traps, it itself didn’t grab me. I far prefer the titles I mentioned before — Limbo, Inside and Unravel — over this, but fans of this genre will certainly feel differently. | Read review |

The Digital Fix | Andrew Shaw | 10 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | A perfect sequel. Expanding on what worked last time, improving what did not work, adding ideas that were missing, and taking the story to places we have never seen before. As a fan of Little Nightmares, you could not ask for more. | Read review |
The Games Machine | Marco Bortoluzzi | 9 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | If the ship of horrors had managed to get you to sleep in its time, rest assured that the Pale City will be able to do the same. Dark, destroyed and abandoned, it manages without too much effort to be even more disturbing than the previous setting , perhaps precisely because it is more inspired by places familiar to all of us. | Read review |
TheSixthAxis | Tuffcub | 8 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | It's rather obvious, but if enjoyed the first Little Nightmares then you will enjoy the Little Nightmares II. While some new elements have been added it is more of a next chapter to the story than a full blown sequel. The attention detail is incredible, bringing the story to life without a single spoken word. It's unsettling, creepy, darkly amusing, and at times a little frustrating, but immensely enjoyable. Another little, slime covered gem from Tarsier Studios. | Read review |
TheXboxHub | Ryan Taylor | 4.5 / 5 stars | 02-09-2021 | I have hugely enjoyed my time playing Little Nightmares II on Xbox. The mature themes and tense moments that made the first game so fun are present in full force, and like the first game there are plenty of secrets to be found and stories to uncover. If you want a good horror platformer, then Little Nightmares II doesn’t disappoint. | Read review |

Unboxholics | Γιώργος Πρίτσκας | Recommended | 02-09-2021 | Little Nightmares 2 is a worthy continuation of the 2017 title. It does not attempt something radically different, but it perfectly executes its new ideas. | Read review |
VG247 | Tom Orry | Recommended | 02-09-2021 | Little Nightmares 2 is a superb sequel that carries on the impressive tone of the original, but improves in all key areas. This isn’t explosive horror, there’s no gore or torture, and for the most part you’re jumping onto levers, solving puzzles, and climbing up furniture, but that doesn’t mean Tarsier hasn’t created a standout horror experience. | Read review |
VGChartz | Issa Maki | 6.5 / 10 | 02-15-2021 | Fans will be pleased with Little Nightmares II, but others might not be convinced by the premium entry fee and low replay value. | Read review |
VideoGamer | Josh Wise | 7 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | The animations describe a scrambling blend of determination and thin-limbed frailty, and struggling through the game’s perils, especially towards the end, feels frantic. However, as the credits rolled, I couldn’t help but feel that the hardships of Mono and Six were carried out in service of ideas that grow blurry. Where the lack of precision most hurts the adventure is in its ideas. | Read review |
Washington Post | Elise Favis | Recommended | 02-09-2021 | “Little Nightmares 2″ shattered my expectations. I expected something scary, but the impeccable sound design, terrifying enemy encounters and clever puzzles make it worth revisiting, even after completion. This nightmarish experience has a lot to offer. Just don’t expect to get much sleep after playing. | Read review |
WayTooManyGames | Jason Palazini | 10 / 10 | 02-19-2021 | Regardless of whether or not I return to play Little Nightmares II again, it was one hell of a ride that I won’t soon forget. It had my attention from start to finish and was perfect through and through. The atmosphere, story surprises, and tense moments kept me up playing way too late on a work night and I don’t regret a moment of it. | Read review |
Wccftech | Nathan Birch | 6 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | Little Nightmares II often manages to recapture the unsettling essence of Tarsier Studios' original game, but almost every attempt to expand the formula falls flat, resulting in an experience as lumpy and misshapen as the game's shambling monstrosities. If you loved the original Little Nightmares and need to know what happens to Six next, this sequel might be worth your time, but more fair-weather fans may regret reliving this particular bad dream. | Read review |
We Got This Covered | Cheyenne Clark | 3.5 / 5 stars | 02-09-2021 | With its delightfully scary monster designs and ominous atmosphere, Little Nightmares II stands out as a truly unique horror experience. Sure, it falters in some of its puzzles and clunky controls, but it makes up for it with its art and level design. | Read review |
WellPlayed | Kieron Verbrugge | 8.5 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | Little Nightmares II doesn't break the mould established by its predecessor but it improves on it in a number of small ways while introducing fans to a new cast of creepy characters to be kept up at night by | Read review |
Windows Central | Jez Corden | 5 / 5 stars | 02-09-2021 | Little Nightmares II builds on its predecessor as a sequel should, expanding the scope of the universe both in terms of lore and mechanics. Little Nightmares II is one of 2021's first must-play titles. | Read review |
Worth Playing | Andreas Salmen | 8.6 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | Little Nightmares II is a gem of a game that successfully builds on everything that made the first one great. It's a short but well-polished and atmospheric horror-platformer that oozes with creepy charm. While its core physics-based platformer gameplay hasn't seen many radical changes, the setting, storytelling, and world-building alone make it worth experiencing. If you're a fan of the first entry or the likes of Limbo or Inside, LM2 is well worth the adventure … if you dare. | Read review |
Xbox Achievements | Richard Walker | 60 / 100 | 02-09-2021 | Despite contriving its fair share of unsettling moments, Little Nightmares II is a disappointing follow-up to one of 2017's most pleasant surprises. It might be a bigger game than its forebear, but it certainly isn't better. | Read review |
Zoomg | Afshin Ravari | 9 / 10 | 02-15-2021 | Little Nightmares 2 is one of those games that can be suggested to everyone to experience; If you want a work in the puzzle style of the platformer that has both creative and logical riddles and breathtaking sequences of escaping from enemies or secrecy, Little Nightmares 2 is made for you. | Read review |
ZTGD | Ken McKown | 8 / 10 | 02-09-2021 | Little Nightmares II is a wonderful sequel that adds unnecessary combat to the mix. The journey is still worth pushing through just to experience the horrors the team has delivered. I love these type of games as it stimulates that certain part of my brain that creates a sense of discomfort while also letting me solve puzzles to stay alive. The lighter price point and promise of next-gen updates also make it worth your time. Don’t miss out on the first genuinely disturbing game of 2021. | Read review |
