Warhorse Studios took a risk with Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Its unique and ambitious RPG approach makes it the ultimate Middle Age simulator, but poor optimization and a mountain of bugs make it difficult to recommend.

3DNews | Денис Щенников | 8 / 10 | 02-23-2018 | Kingdom Come is a unique roleplaying experience, full of interesting ideas and brutal medieval atmosphere. Which would be awesome, if not for a bunch of bugs and technical issues. | Read review |
ACG | Jeremy Penter | Not Recommended | 02-13-2018 | A serviceable game with unique ideas but far too many technological issues | Read review |
Attack of the Fanboy | William Schwartz | 2.5 / 5 stars | 02-13-2018 | Technical issues aside Kingdom Come: Deliverance is at best an ambitious game. There are flashes of brilliance in the implementation of Warhorse Studios' unique systems of the game, as it truly does have interestingly deep survival and progression elements. Though when you do take into account the technical issues it becomes a frustrating experience in which the bad completely outweighs the good. | Read review |
AusGamers | Kosta Andreadis | 7.4 / 10 | 03-26-2018 | Rough around the edges sure, but the ambition often shines through. | Read review |
BaziCenter | میلاد طاهرنژاد | 8 / 10 | 02-20-2018 | Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a very deep, atmospheric and ultra-realistic RPG title that will really challenge every hardcore fan of the genre. | Read review |
Bazimag | Hossein Sadri | 8 / 10 | 03-02-2018 | Despite having lots of issues, Kingdom Come is still a great game. It provides exceptional content and is successful in presenting a good story and gameplay. The game creates memorable experiences for its players; in addition, a few updates can gradually convert Deliverance into a flawless title. We’ve tried our best to give the game a score with no expiry date. We do not deny the problems, yet we’re certain about one thing; if you miss playing Deliverance, you won’t have a full experience of 2018. | Read review |
CGMagazine | Brendan Quinn | 8 / 10 | 03-09-2018 | Kingdom Come: Deliverance attempts to shake up the Western RPG by shedding familiar fantasy tropes and focusing on realistic mechanics and historical events. | Read review |
COGconnected | Derek Miller | 81 / 100 | 02-15-2018 | The sense of scale, that awe of something you were not expecting to be so grand. | Read review |
Cubed3 | Ofisil | 7 / 10 | 02-13-2018 | As realistic, historically accurate, unrelenting, casual-unfriendly, open-word RPG games go, Kingdom Come: Deliverance is probably the best on offer right now. It's only worthy of the bronze medal, though, as it's very far from perfect, and the amount of flaws at hand mean that this is quite the dirty kind of bronze medal. | Read review |
Cultured Vultures | Jimmy Donnellan | 7.5 / 10 | 02-19-2018 | Its problems may deter many players and arguably should until it's in a better state, but it's hard to deny that with some more polish and a couple of tweaked systems, Kingdom Come: Deliverance could be one the year's best. | Read review |
Daily Mirror | James Ide | 4 / 5 stars | 02-14-2018 | Overall, I found Kingdom Come: Deliverance to be an innovative, breathe of fresh air. It has a different pace to Skyrim but if you don't mind a challenge and can master the skills, it offers a complex and well crafted world with a great story that's not just interesting to history buffs but appeals to all RPG fans. | Read review |
DarkZero | Dominic Sheard | 7 / 10 | 03-13-2018 | There are incredible things going on in Kingdom Come: Deliverance that it's a shame I have to score it lower than I would like, due to the issues with bugs and glitches that soil the experience. | Read review |
Destructoid | Dan Roemer | 7.5 / 10 | 02-20-2018 | Warhorse Studios took a big risk with this game and hopefully in the long run the technical issues can be addressed, because as of right now, they prevent Deliverance from reaching greatness. If you can climb over the mountain of jank and poor optimization then you'll be in for an incredibly authentic experience, that when it works, truly puts role-playing front and center in a fabulous way. | Read review |
Digiato | Shayan Ziaei | 65 / 100 | 03-07-2018 | The rush and hastiness of Deep Silver for releasing Kingdom Come: Deliverance has made one of the most anticipated games of the year into a weak one. Although it's not too late for the devs to fix the game, this would surely affect the upcoming games of Warhorse studios. | Read review |
Digital Chumps | Dillon Sweeney | 8 / 10 | 01-20-2017 | Kingdom Come Deliverance is a great game that can appeal to many people. A true RPG fan will love this game. KCD is a truly immersive experience where you will lose yourself for hours on end. The open-ended gameplay allows for you to accomplish your goal in a multitude of ways. Combat is not straightforward, and it is hard all while being the best it can be. Players will be able to mold Henry into the medieval character they want to be. | Read review |
Digitally Downloaded | Matt Sainsbury | 3 / 5 stars | 02-20-2018 | For every positive thing that Kingdom Come does with its storytelling, setting, and themes, it then lets itself down with childish writing, and then doesn't help itself out by being so ambitious that, even beyond the bugs, the game has structural issues that are difficult to ignore. | Read review |
DualShockers | Tomas Franzese | 6 / 10 | 03-05-2018 | While I have come out of Kingdom Come: Deliverance somewhat disappointed, Warhorse Studios still did deliver on their original KickStarter promise of creating a realistic RPG unlike any other. While the developers did squeeze as much potential as their studio could out of this concept, to sometimes remarkable results, Kingdom Come: Deliverance may have been a tad too bit ambitious for them on a technical level, and it really shows. | Read review |
EGM | Michael Goroff | 3.5 / 10 | 02-21-2018 | What could have been an intriguing, unique, if somewhat underwhelming RPG is completely crippled by a terrible save system and game-breaking bugs. Kingdom Come: Deliverance's well-publicized adherence to historical accuracy pays off in its thoughtfully designed landscapes and intriguing combat system, even if its survival-style mechanics fall somewhat flat. It's just a shame that the more positive qualities are doomed to exist within a game that ended up being unplayable. | Read review |

Expansive | Ray Willmott | 6.5 / 10 | 02-13-2018 | Kingdom Come: Deliverance looks, sounds and acts the part but is inherently flawed in so many different ways that it’s very hard to pay attention to its good traits long enough to not to be distracted by the bad. | Read review |
Fextralife | Castielle | 8.7 / 10 | 02-13-2018 | Kingdom Come Deliverance is a much needed breath of fresh air for the gaming industry, and frankly one that many players will overlook, much the way Demon's Souls originally was. It's challenging, cryptic, vague and there are simply too many questions without answers for the average gamer. However, if you can stay the course and persist through the unknown, understanding that you will get the answers if you carry on, you will find a very special and personal experience that few games offer. Only three games to date have inspired me to pick up a book and actually read about the events of the game I was playing. The first was The Witcher, the second was Nioh and now the third is Kingdom Come Deliverance. Warhorse may not win any awards for this title, but they have established themselves where it matters most, in the hearts of gamers with a solid performance. They have earned themselves a warm following, and I can't wait to see what they do next. Now pardon me good sir, I have to see a bar wench about some ale. | Read review |
FingerGuns | Rossko Keniston | 6 / 10 | 02-17-2018 | I don't think it's worth picking up yet. If you're the kind of person who isn't all that bothered about tech issues and will happily watch the game you paid £50 for get patched to high heaven than jump in. You'll find a multi-layered story with characters that are engaging and a world that's ripe for exploration where you get to make your own save points out of alcohol. | Read review |

Game Volt | Moustafa Gad | 7 / 10 | 02-20-2018 | Kingdom Come: Deliverance has many distinctive ideas that can really help in the development of the RPG games in a perfect way in the future, but the reliance on just realism does not guarantee success under the fact that video games are an Entertainment industry in the first place, add to that the world has found a huge virtual but near empty, the impact of the first person's perspective is negatively on battles, scenarios and conversations that try to look deep but they are not actually. | Read review |
Gameblog | Camille Allard | 8 / 10 | 02-14-2018 | Despite its technical issues and many bugs, Kingdom Come Deliverance is an excellent and really unique RPG. Here is a true ode to the European medieval period, and eventually the typical game that you will love or hate with passion. | Read review |
GameCrate | David Jagneaux | 8.3 / 10 | 02-13-2018 | If you can look past the annoying bugs and obtuse mechanics, Kingdom Come: Deliverance's strong sense of believable, historical realism will undoubtedly cast a spell on anyone that gives the game a chance. GBAtemp | Thomas Hugh | 5.5 / 10 | 02-13-2018 | From what I did play of Kingdom Come: Deliverance has left me with mixed feelings. I enjoyed the story and wanted to see if Henry became a great Knight and avenged his family, but at the same time, I found myself battling against the game's systems every time it gave me control. KeenGamer | Nick Banks | 7.5 / 10 | 03-02-2018 | We all have that one bar that we like to go to. The locals don’t like it very much and it’s got its problems but that is “our” bar that we’ve grown fond of. Kingdom Come: Deliverance is the equivalent of that bar for me. It has its problems, some of which would be damned to hell were it any other game. Although there’s a reason you haven’t heard too much bad press about it. It’s incredibly easy to forgive the game of its failings when it offers this much quintessential RPG gameplay and fantastic world design. Warhorse Studios have taken the time to build a snapshot of today’s Czech Republic and wind back the clock on its design all the way to the 15th Century. | Read review |
Kotaku | Luke Plunkett | Not Recommended | 03-14-2018 | I'm not angry at Kingdom Come, I'm just… disappointed. It was touted as this grand historical representation, an abandonment of fantasy for a true medieval setting, a game that would let us live the middle ages. But the game we got is just this busted, inconsistently ambitious RPG that shines in points, but falls apart in most others. | Read review |
LevelUp | Luis Sánchez | 8.3 / 10 | 01-01-1970 | Kingdom Come: Deliverance is an unusual success story that leaves us with an important message: in this day and age, a large amount of players can —and will enjoy— a complex game that doesn't hold you back. We loved every second: getting lost in Bohemia sprawling forests, riding horseback on green prairies, bleedin in the thick of combat and getting stuck between some odd bushes. Kingdom Come: Deliverance it's a game we can recommend, with caution due its numerous rough edges. | Read review |

Metro GameCentral | GameCentral | 7 / 10 | 02-16-2018 | It won't be for everyone, for various reasons, but if nothing else Kingdom Come proves that a role-playing game doesn't have to rely on fantasy to keep you interested. | Read review |
MonsterVine | Diego Escala | 3.5 / 5 stars | 02-16-2018 | Despite an abundance of bugs and some minor quibbles, Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a fantastic game whose issues can unfortunately be made even worse from a frustratingly atrocious save system. | Read review |
New Game Network | Tim Reid | 75 / 100 | 02-25-2018 | Kingdom Come: Deliverance deserves a lot of credit for succeeding in its highly ambitious and original realism-driven approach to role-playing game design, though the amount of broken quests and general lack of polish in combination with an ill-conceived save system bring down the experience significantly. | Read review |

OnlySP | Richard Flint | 3 / 5 stars | 02-20-2018 | With all said and done, and despite several flaws, Warhorse Studios delivers a fantastic first game and deserves praise for Kingdom Come's successes. The issues currently present in the game are comparable to Bethesda's infamous bugs. Press Start | James Berich | 6 / 10 | 02-13-2018 | Kingdom Come: Deliverance has clearly had a lot of love and effort put into it, but it's unapologetically appealing to a very specific niche. PS4Blog.net | the_nmac | 8.5 / 10 | 03-16-2018 | Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a great game that's almost held back a bit by what makes it so special. I loved the dynamic world and the chase for realism within it, but I didn't like the difficulty spikes that come with it – when you lose a few hours of progress because you haven't saved things can feel quite frustrating. Luckily the team is hard at work and is continuisly improving the game, so your experience with this one will certainly be even better than mine. In the end, it's a great game that is worth playing on PlayStation 4 and which I'm sure wil win several awards this year. | Read review |
PSX Brasil | Bruno Henrique Vinhadel | 83 / 100 | 03-07-2018 | Kingdom Come: Deliverance delivers a fun and content-rich RPG to be explored. Push Square | Glen Fox | 7 / 10 | 02-16-2018 | Kingdom Come: Deliverance is very difficult to score because it's more than just the sum of its parts, and the appeal will differ greatly by person. If you absolutely love simulators and really appreciate realism and the little details in games, then this will really grip you. But at the same time, many will find the game far too frustrating and unforgiving, both because of the intense focus on realism that doesn't always result in fun gameplay experiences, and the number of bugs and severe loading times. There's a compelling game here, but it needs a polished edge only a series of patches or a sequel can deliver. We can't wait for either. | Read review |
Rock, Paper, Shotgun | Edwin Evans-Thirlwell | Recommended | 02-13-2018 | The measure of an open world is ultimately not the story it tells but whether you're happy to kill time within it, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance offers plenty of ways to do that, even if a lot of them will, in fact, get you slaughtered. | Read review |

The Games Machine | Mario Baccigalupi | 8 / 10 | 02-13-2018 | It's almost impossible not to compare Kingdom Come: Deliverance with the Witcher series: there's absolutely no fantasy in the Warhorse production, but it boasts a strong character, an enormous quantity of content, choices that matter, and an adult and mature storyline. You can't expect the same visual quality or a comparable level of polish (pun intended), but the battles are like nothing you've ever seen, and the depth of the simulation really drags the player into a beautiful medieval novel. | Read review |
TheSixthAxis | Dave Irwin | 4 / 10 | 02-13-2018 | If Kingdom Come: Deliverance has a ton of bug fixing to improve the performance drastically, it could be a hidden gem. It's clear that the game, despite its grand ambitions, was simply not ready for public consumption. Shimmers of brilliance are there and had it seen more time in the oven, or set its ambitions at a more reasonable level, it could have been brilliant and scored significantly higher as a result. Alas, Kingdom Come: Deliverance is another cautionary tale rather than a trend setter. | Read review |
TheXboxHub | Gareth Brierley | 4 / 5 stars | 03-14-2018 | Kingdom Come: Deliverance delivers a huge, complex world with a host of things to get involved in. The story is well written, brilliantly acted and expertly executed. I am worried that the buggy nature of the game will put many off and whilst the vast majority of the problems shouldn’t worry anyone too much, it can get a tad annoying. | Read review |
TrueAchievements | Marc Hollinshead | 4 / 5 stars | 03-07-2018 | It has its share of flaws if you can work around them and really get involved with what it has to offer, you will discover what is probably 2018's biggest surprise so far. | Read review |
VGChartz | Rex Hindrichs | 7 / 10 | 03-01-2018 | Despite the drawbacks of ambitious endeavors, Kingdom Come: Deliverance succeeds in bringing a believable medieval world to the player. | Read review |
VGN | Davide Frontera | 8.2 / 10 | 02-19-2018 | With Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Warhorse Studios has managed to create an amazing RPG experience with a deep gameplay, an historical accuracy and a really great adventure for you to live, despite some critical flaws that make the game sometimes quite difficult to play. | Read review |
VideoGamer | Alice Bell | 4 / 10 | 02-20-2018 | Kingdom Come: Deliverance has some nice ideas and pretty countryside, but is ultimately still buggy, broken and, perhaps worst of all, boring. | Read review |
We Got This Covered | Edward Love | 4 / 5 stars | 02-26-2018 | Kingdom Come's rough edges are smoothed by the knowledge you're playing a game where no detail is too small. Exploring 1400s Bohemia is a sure-fire delight. | Read review |
