“A hugely innovative single player social game, Gnosia blends Among Us with visual novels to create an entertaining (if slightly repetitive) experience.”

“Gnosia manages to capture that in single-player format, while creating a story and universe you care about enough to really learn and understand. I know everyone’s tells, but I also know what they like and dislike, what they struggle with and what they seek. Gnosia’s both an impostor game and a visual novel, and the mix results in something else entirely new. Whether you enjoy new forms of storytelling or just want the friendly deception without the social anxiety, it’s well worth experiencing.”

33bits | Euyen Esquefa Pons | 80 / 100 | 03-18-2021 | Gnosia is a bit like throwing Among Us and the narrative part of 999 into a shaker. Without decisions and choices, our task will be to survive and make the characters that interest us in each loop survive in an interesting debate mechanic to find the “traitors” that can become repetitive in the long run. Still, the story will make us want to move on to find out what is behind the Gnosia, and that time loop in which we are trapped. | Read review |
But Why Tho? | Mercedez Clewis | 9.5 / 10 | 03-04-2021 | I ultimately found very little that I disliked about GNOSIA. If anything, I can’t recommend it enough, and honestly, I can’t wait to get back to playing it. In fact, I’m ready to loop through another fight against the Gnosia again. | Read review |
Checkpoint Gaming | Luke Mitchell | 8 / 10 | 03-23-2021 | Gnosia is an eccentric blend of visual novel, Werewolf-style social deduction and RPG mechanics that somehow manages to pull it all together to make one of the most intriguing game releases this year. While some repetitive and frustrating moments mean that the game feels a little bit longer than it should, its cast of quirky, likable characters and quite frankly addictive gameplay loop will keep you just as much on the edge of your seat in Loop 1 as it will in Loop 100. There’s a wild ride to unravel, full of crazy twists and turns, and combined with the sharp writing and clever mashup of different genres, Gnosia truly stands out as a fascinating addition to your Switch library. Just be careful who you trust. | Read review |
COGconnected | Stephanie Sung | 83 / 100 | 03-24-2021 | Even though Gnosia has a simple and familiar concept, it presents a sophisticated social deduction game with an interesting narrative. | Read review |
Destructoid | CJ Andriessen | 7 / 10 | 03-09-2021 | Ultimately, Gnosia is worth playing through to the end thanks to its strong narrative. The story goes in unexpected directions, and the revelations I learned along the way were compelling enough to push me past my frustrations. Make no mistake, I wanted to give up on this game multiple times. But every time I considered quitting, I’d start one last loop that would pull me right back in because all of the elements were in place for another bit of tasty narrative to reveal itself. | Read review |
Digitally Downloaded | Matt Sainsbury | 5 / 5 stars | 03-11-2021 | Gnosia might not be a new concept – there are so many video games out there that feature death games with deception at the core of them. Last year’s Quantum Suicide even set the scene in space and had a less-than-benevolent AI pulling many of the strings, just like Gnosia does. But Gnosia is something rare: it is really, truly different. The developers wanted to take this common-enough concept and craft something that was truly their own, and not only have you got here a game that you won’t forget in a hurry, it’s also going to have you actively thinking about just how smart it is for some time to come. | Read review |
EGM | Mollie L Patterson | 8 / 10 | 03-09-2021 | Gnosia takes the classic social game of Werewolf and transforms it into a single-player graphical adventure experience. Arguing against the computer in an attempt to determine who is the human-killing alien in your group is far more dynamic and exciting than you’d ever expect this type of game to be. Unfortunately, its compelling gameplay gets tarnished somewhat by the requirement to go through those searches so many times that their charm can wear off. Still, Gnosia’s engrossing story and fantastic cast of characters make the game’s duller moments worth getting through in the end. | Read review |
FingerGuns | Sean Davies | 9 / 10 | 03-23-2021 | A unique blend of social deduction game and visual novel, Gnosia is a mixture of both and something new entirely. A strong narrative that’s unveiled little by little combined with a looping logic and deduction game make for a very compelling proposition and damn near essential for fans of either genre. | Read review |
GameSkinny | George Yang | 9 / 10 | 03-04-2021 | Gnosia draws similarities to games like Among Us and Zero Escape, but ultimately crafts a unique story with a crew of memorable characters. | Read review |
GameSpew | Richard Seagrave | 7 / 10 | 03-05-2021 | The bite-sized nature of each loop means that Gnosia is the perfect game to spend a little time with when you have a modicum of downtime. You could play one or two loops while on your lunch break, for example, or one before you go to bed every night. That way, you’re less likely to get put off by the repetitive roundabout discussions. It’s also perfect for those who want a single-player equivalent to the multiplayer-focused Among Us. It has its flaws, but Gnosia is an inventive and unique title that draws you in and surprises you. | Read review |

GamingTrend | Elisha Deogracias | 90 / 100 | 03-08-2021 | Whether you’re playing for 20 minutes or 2 hours at a time, Gnosia is the perfect single-player experience for those that want a unique spin on the social deduction genre. With a loveable cast, an innovative investigation system, and tons of replay value thanks to the premise, this is one game you’ll want (and have to) play again and again. | Read review |
God is a Geek | Lyle Carr | 8 / 10 | 03-11-2021 | A hugely innovative single player social game, Gnosia blends Among Us with visual novels to create an entertaining (if slightly repetitive) experience. | Read review |
Hey Poor Player | Heather Johnson | 4.5 / 5 stars | 03-19-2021 | If you thought Among Us needed more storyline, mechanics, and a single-player mode and you enjoy beautiful graphics with a compelling story, you absolutely must pick up Gnosia. The fate of the universe rests on your sleuthing skills, lest you become doomed to repeat history again and again and again and again and again | Read review |
KeenGamer | Kenzie Du | 9 / 10 | 03-18-2021 | Can you play a game of “Among Us” all by yourself? Gnosia brings the identity deduction genre to a futuristic horror landscape, setting players against a colorful cast of characters with their own goals and motivations. Unravel the mystery of your doomed spacecraft again, and again, and again… | Read review |
LevelUp | Fernando Salinas | 7.8 / 10 | 03-05-2021 | Gnosia is a science fiction graphic novel with an entertaining, magical and dangerous story. If you are a master of persuasion and can charm anyone, this game is for you. | Read review |
Nintendo Life | Trent Cannon | 8 / 10 | 03-09-2021 | Between the surprisingly deep plot for such a simple game, the clever narrative explanation of the mechanics, and enough chaos going on in the discussions to keep you guessing, we had a lot of fun with this one. Gnosia’s simple game mechanics and deceptively deep story make it a must-have for visual novel and murder mystery fans; it’s just a shame that the music is so poor. Even so, if you give it a chance it’s highly likely that you’ll fall in love with each member of its diverse cast – just in time for them to kill you. | Read review |
NintendoWorldReport | Donald Theriault | 8 / 10 | 03-06-2021 | Gnosia is a game that’s going to test your deduction skills, imagination, and ability to lie like a cheap rug. It’s a game that I will definitely keep around if I want to knock off a quick loop on a break, or even if I need to warm up for the next time I have tasks to do on stream. Don’t cold sleep on it. | Read review |
Noisy Pixel | Azario Lopez | 9 / 10 | 03-05-2021 | Gnosia takes the rules of a social game and turns it into a single-player science-fiction experience. Each loop will present you with more questions and slowly feed you answers to what is a compelling and unique narrative. The game is fueled by an amazing cast of insane characters and over-the-top mechanics that make it fun no matter how long you play. | Read review |
Paste Magazine | Nicolas Perez | 8.5 / 10 | 03-16-2021 | 60-odd loops in, and Gnosia has maintained a firm grip on my attention with ease. Its elegant yet simple debate system offers a surprising level of strategy for players to chew over, and its characters add a splash of unpredictability to every loop. Where other social deduction games grow stale after enough playthroughs, Gnosia wraps itself in a narrative that keeps you coming back for more. | Read review |

Rice Digital | Isaac Todd | Recommended | 03-10-2021 | Gnosia excels at being whatever you want it to be. As a single-player deduction game, or as a slowly revealing, spine-chilling story with amazing characters in the forefront and lore behind it, Gnosia has immediately become a must-play title for 2021. Just as I had hoped. | Read review |
TechRaptor | Kate Mitchell Jewett | 9 / 10 | 03-11-2021 | Gnosia is a mind-bending time-loop adventure which blends social deduction and visual novel elements to create a truly tricky, engaging mystery. | Read review |
TrueGaming | حسين الموسى | 8 / 10 | 03-19-2021 | We always appreciate and encourage original games, Gnosia is definitely original and experimental title in the way it was made and executed. Your goal is simply to survive the loops and end them, and no two players will play the game in the same way. Gnosia is a game that truly does show the power of video games as an entertainment medium, and it can’t be adopted in the same way to be anything else. | Read review |
WayTooManyGames | Heidi Hawes | 8 / 10 | 03-18-2021 | I have to say that Gnosia really impressed me. I completely underestimated it by assuming it was just going to be some monotonous visual novel mystery game. I’ve never been happier to be proven wrong. The steady introduction of new elements, complex characters, and intriguing gameplay make Gnosia delightfully addicting. | Read review |
