One of the best computer role-playing games ever, with such a level of complexity and flexibility it’s difficult to believe it exists, let alone that it could ever be bettered.
A CRPG of unparalleled breadth and dynamism, Original Sin 2 is Larian’s masterpiece.

It’s a rare RPG that I’ll want to play through again and again, driven by the feeling that so many fascinating and surprising paths remain undiscovered, some of which might lead to different outcomes for the NPCs I’ve grown to care about – even the rats. When that happens, you’re experiencing something worth remembering, and Divinity: Original Sin 2 will be remembered as one of the greats.

Chalgyr’s Game Room | Pierre-Yves Lanthier | 10 / 10 | 10-02-2017 | I am for once at a serious lack of where to start since I can’t just declare 10/10 what are you waiting for and go get it! Though I may just have… Divinity Original Sin 2 is the sequel to the reboot of the series that took to Kickstarter a few years back and has made a mark on both the PC and the Console markets alike. Back again with even better visuals, multiple playable races, choice of musical instruments to play your background music, custom characters or special ones with more storylines and the ability to customize their classes as you see fit? (Takes a breath) It took some time getting out of character creation | Read review |
Checkpoint Gaming | Elliot Attard | Recommended | 10-03-2017 | Divinity Original Sin 2 is that perfect sequel, it knew what made the original great, understood its weaknesses and then went balls to the wall to attempt to make the best product possible. Without a doubt, Divinity Original Sin 2 is up there with some of the best games released this year, and up their with some of the best CRPGs ever released. | Read review |
COGconnected | Alexander Thomas | 89 / 100 | 09-22-2017 | While there is much to see and do, this is a game about being methodical, taking it slow and exploring every possibility before moving forward. | Read review |
Cubed3 | Chris Leebody | 10 / 10 | 10-13-2017 | This is an experience that needs to be discovered and savoured by any PC gamer, but especially any role-playing fan. | Read review |
Destructoid | Patrick Hancock | 9 / 10 | 10-16-2017 | Divinity: Original Sin 2 is a perfect example of how to create a sequel. It took what the first game did well and ramped it up while fixing many of the original’s annoyances. The freedom here is unlike anything I have come across in a long time, and the game is better for it. There are certainly some things that still don’t feel quite right, in addition to various bugs, but this is easily one of the best RPGs of modern times. | Read review |

Fextralife | Castielle | 9.5 / 10 | 09-22-2017 | Divinity: Original Sin 2 takes the already high bar set by its predecessor and somehow dead lifts it to even greater heights. Larian has proven that it knows exactly how to make THE GAME that everyone wants, because they are the GAMER everyone else is. Divinity: Original Sin 2 doesn’t do anything complicated or confusing, it simply delivers what players want in a game: challenge, creativity, freedom and of course the ability to share all that with your BFFs. As it stands now Divinity: Original Sin 2 is the front runner for RPG of the Year. For 44.99$ this game is vastly under priced and is perhaps one of the few games out there that actually justifies a 59.99$ price tag. | Read review |

Gameblog | Camille Allard | 9 / 10 | 09-19-2017 | Divinity Original Sin 2 is undoubtedly one of the best RPGs we’ve seen since a long time. Deep, rich, various and gorgeous are the right words to describe this game. Larian has made a true masterpiece. | Read review |
GameCrate | David Jagneaux | 9.8 / 10 | 09-22-2017 | Stop whatever it is you’re doing right now, and go play this game. Divinity: Original Sin 2 is a definitive game-of-the-year contender, and one of the best RPGs to be released this entire decade. | Read review |
Gamefa | Mehdi Rahimi | 9.5 / 10 | 10-31-2017 | It’s a fun experience and despite its bad music tracks, it has all the other requirements of a good game. The game has some fun features such as the PetPal spell- which allows you to talk with animals- and the Game Master mode. This is one of the few games I’ve played that presents a massive amount of content to the player. Surely it has a few bad things in some sections but still, if you love RPGs then you have to give it a try. I’m sure you are going to like it as much as I did. | Read review |
GameGrin | Kayla Hill | 10 / 10 | 09-22-2017 | With its rich story, compelling characters, and wealth of different ways to approach any situation, Divinity: Original Sin 2 is a title that plants its flag in the tactical RPG genre and stands heads and tails above its competitors. Requiring plenty of patience to learn the game mechanics and to absorb the immense amount of story thrown at the player; this title may not be for everyone but if you’re willing to invest the time this title is one that will be played over and over for years to come. | Read review |

GamingTrend | Ron Burke | 95 / 100 | 09-28-2017 | No game has captured the nuance of pen-and-paper RPG quite like Divinity: Original Sin 2. Every moment is filled with meaningful choice with real consequences, and every character has a story to tell. In an RPG landscape where dialogue options are dumbed down, and quests have become package delivery to a specific map coordinate, Divinity: Original Sin 2 stands out as one of the best RPGs I’ve played in a decade…maybe even longer than that. | Read review |
GearNuke | Muhammad Ali Bari | 8.5 / 10 | 10-04-2017 | Divinity: Original Sin 2 is a highly fulfilling role-playing experience with rich worldbuilding, well-written characters, and intricate quest design. It is only marred somewhat by its battle system, which doesn’t remain interesting for long and often becomes a chore. | Read review |
God is a Geek | Gary Bailey | 8 / 10 | 10-03-2017 | Fantastic writing and voice acting abound in the deep, fantastical world of Divinity: Original Sin 2. Despite some massive difficulty spikes, its gameplay is incredibly rewarding and great fun. | Read review |

Hardcore Gamer | Chris Shive | 5 / 5 stars | 09-19-2017 | Divinity: Original Sin II pulled off the impressive task of taking the kitchen sink approach to game design by cramming as much into it as possible yet somehow making it all work, making it a fantastic title for solo or multiplayer gaming. | Read review |
Hobby Consolas | David Martinez | 91 / 100 | 09-03-2018 | One of the greatest classic RPG of the generation. Story, setting and freedom of action seems uparalleled, although controls and menu navigation for consoles version still feel a bit rough. | Read review |

Kotaku | Nathan Grayson | Recommended | 10-03-2017 | It still feels premature to declare Original Sin 2 an all-time classic, as some have, but I imagine plenty of future games will borrow ideas from it. It’ll be a crying shame if they don’t. | Read review |

Pardis Game | Seyyed Mehdi Mir Shahdehi | 10 / 10 | 10-21-2017 | Divinity: Original Sin 2 is a serious candidate for best RPG of the generation and even of all time. Everything’s done to perfection. The excellent combat is deep and rewarding. It’s got a plot full of twists and turns passing the cliches of good and evil. It builds characters in the finest form. The quests are extremely open ended and dependent on player choice. So RPG lovers shouldn’t miss Original Sin 2 and future RPGs have to go a long way to make those who finished Original Sin 2 satisfied. | Read review |

pressakey.com | Tim Bissinger | Recommended | 10-27-2017 | Bigger, prettier and expanded in almost every regard, Divinity: Original Sin II is a captivating and addicting RPG epic and a worthy successor that’s almost unmatched in freedom of choice and character progression, only ever-so-slightly inhibited by a badly balanced last quarter and a lack of boss fights and iconic music. | Read review |

TheSixthAxis | Dave Irwin | 9 / 10 | 09-26-2017 | Divinity: Original Sin 2 is the strongest CRPG in decades, with a fascinating plot that enthrals, despite taking a while to get going and being hard as nails at times. It’s the little adventures that flesh out the world and so much of it can be missed at first glance because you didn’t have the right skill or failed a persuasion check. Massive in scope and jam packed with features that includes a GM mode that shows a surprising amount of customisation with great ease, Divinity: Original Sin 2 is a bumper package. | Read review |

USgamer | Mike Williams | 5 / 5 stars | 09-22-2017 | Divinity: Original Sin 2 is simply the pinnacle of the CRPG genre. It offers a campaign with memorable characters, interesting role-playing options, and excellent systemic combat. The environments are beautiful and the soundtrack is solid. That alone would put it at the top of the heap, but then Larian added offline and online coop, a PVP arena mode, and Game Master mode, the greatest throwback to the Dungeons & Dragons pen-and-paper games that underpin the entire genre. I might have small issues here and there, but Divinity: Original Sin 2 is one of the best in a strong year for gaming. | Read review |
